The Secret Plan

"What do you want to do today?" I ask Gavin while making lunch

"Well first off, you do know I can make my own lunch, right? I have to hands and know what a knife is and all that good stuff" he laughs

"Do you not want to have a taste of my amazing cooking skills?!"

He smirks and puts his hands up in surrender, "Alright fine, whatever you say. Second, I really want to go see a movie! Can we please go see a movie?! I'm begging you I will kneel if I have to!"

"You're crazy Gavin" I laugh, "Of course we can go see a movie! We can go right after I finish class, alright?"

"YAY!" he yells and spins me around.

"Alright, alright calm down. Want to come alone, or do you want me to invite someone?" I say as I place food on both our plates

"Yeah just us two!"

"Alright" I laugh, "Come on lets eat and watch some tv, don't forget to take your pill."

"Oh I won't!" He runs to his room and comes back with a bottle of pills, takes one and puts the bottle in a kitchen cabinet, "What's on?"

"Twilight"

"Ugh" he groans and sits next to me, "Hey did you and your boyfriend make up?"

"He's not my boyfriend." I mutter

"Not yet at least" Gavin laughs, "So imma take that as a no eh?"

"Yeah we haven't, he actually has been more distant these past four days so that's great." I mumble

"Oh don't be such a party pooper! How long have you two been together?"

"How long were we together you mean. Five years, we started going out sophomore year in high school. We are the longest going couple in our group of friends."

"Were"

"What?"

"You said are, you meant were. I mean you did correct me when I said how long have you two been together."

"Yeah, whatever."

"Gavin I'm home!" Charlie yells from the door

"No one cares!"

"Ew what are you watching? Twilight, really?" Charlie says kissing my cheek and messing up Gavin's hair.

"Oh shush" I chuckle, "I made you some lunch its in the kitchen."

"Thanks Angel you're a life saver!"

"That's why yall call me Angel" I laugh, "Hey crazy I have to get going, I'll come pick you up at around 4 so be ready."

"Oh where are we going?" Charlie says sitting down

"We are going nowhere, Gavin and I on the other hand are going to the movies."

"Are you going to be gone for a long time?"

"I'm not sure maybe I'll kidnap Gavin" I laugh, "Alright goodbye boys see you later." I say kissing their cheek and walking out.

I head to my car when I see a note is on my windshield, "I swear if it's a ticket.." I grab the note and it says,

I know I've been distant lately, but I have a really good reason why! Go to your house before you pick up Gavin and you'll find something on your bed. Do NOT yell at Gavin for being in my plan, and no, he will not tell you what the plan is about. I love you -J

"Oh great, a scavenger hunt" I roll my eyes and smile, "I love you too Jay."
