Was love even real?

Jihoon sat on his bed. He had been crying for hours since he arrived in hours. The same question circled his head.

Why?

Why did Soonyoung do that?

There's no way that Soonyoung would do that, there's no way he'd do that just for me.

His tears soaked into the sleeves of his jacket. Nothing mattered anymore. The only thing that did matter to him was why?

Why would that guy, the one he hated at first, the guy that confused him in every way possible, the guy that didn't even mean anything to him,

Why did he sacrifice himself for him even if he knows that what he would be doing would just hurt him in the end?

The way he was crying for a guy that he barely cared about at first, the way how that guy made him smile so big and bright, the guy who was Jihoon's first and last love.

Soonyoung told him before that love was like that, you would sacrifice everything for that person. Why? Well because if you really love a person you're willing to put everything on the line for them.

Jihoon wiped his tears. He's already seen various ways of love, his mother sacrificed herself for him, and now Soonyoung.

"Even if he didn't say it to me everyday, I could tell that he really did feel something. He showed me love in the dumbest way possible." Jihoon cried, he was fine with smaller ways of love but Soonyoung sacrificing his own life for love.

That was something he never seen before.

Jihoon crashed. He dropped to the bottom of his bed. His tears flowing continuously.

"He's dumb. He really is. And I guess that's one of the reasons why I keep on falling for him more and more."

And that's when Jihoon remembers something.

Did he even say I love you to Soonyoung?

He stopped. Did he?

He was so distracted by everything that had happened that he forgot the most important part. He forgot to tell his true feelings to the person that should hear it the most.

He quickly grabs something out of his pocket, it was the flower. The flower that Soonyoung picked for Jihoon. The flower that represented Soonyoung's love for Jihoon.

Jihoon held it tight to his chest, sobbing. The flower still hadn't withered. It was still staying strong. It was still blooming.

"S-Soonyoung, I'm so sorry... Out of all the things I didn't do, I didn't say it to you. And now I wish I could say it to you right now in front of you, while holding you. But I guess Mikyung was right. I needed to cherish you more when we were together. But know you can't even be by my side and I can't be by yours. Soonyoung, I'm sorry. I love you."

His tears falling continuously. The time Soonyoung was gone, that was the only time Jihoon realized how much he really loves him. But he realized too late.

His heart felt like it was going to crack. This was something that was unfamiliar to him. Heartbreak. Real heartbreak.

All of the memories they had together, all their laughter, sweetness, anger, all were gone. They were replaced with a feeling that Jihoon wishes would just go away. The feeling of loneliness.

The feeling when you try to hide yourself from the truth that the person you love is gone. When you try to think that everything is alright even when you know that it isn't.

Jihoon dropped his hands, still holding his flower by his side.

He walked out of his room and to the balcony.

He saw the sky being bright and beautiful. It was nice to think that this may be the last sight he will ever see.

He stands on the edge of the balcony and held his flower tight.

"Soonyoung, I'm sorry."

He puts one his right foot forward, looking below at the big gap of him and the ground.

He smiles and looks at the sky.

"I love you, forever and always."

He closes his eyes.

"JIHOON!"

He looks back, his face showing sadness.

It was the person he didn't think would actually stop him.

"Mikyung...?"
