'How does he know Josh?' was my first thought,
"General Malidity." Josh bowed on one knee sending my train of thought in a deep abyss.
'Josh...is a Crater?'
A Crater is a human who serves aliens like as one alien's pet. Apparently Josh was Malidity's.
"I brought the two subjects. The male one has shown great progress with the 'Phantom' Gene. The female has shown considerable progress with the 'Reading' Gene but the boy seems to have halfway mastered it."
'Halfway mastered? Does that mean there's more to my powers than I know?'
"Great work 429! Now bring the specimens to us for transportation."
Josh grabbed our collars, rather roughly, and pulled us towards the General.
The alien had red skin, small horns on his forehead, and he was nine feet tall.
'They look a lot shorter from a distance...' I thought.
Malidity grinned and showed his shark like teeth which were pitch black.
He grabbed Carmen's shirt and lifted her to his face.
"Hello, Experiment 387. How are you doing this fine day?"
Even though his english was OK it was still guttural and disgusting, and every time he opened his mouth green vapor rolled out and from Carmen's watering eyes and her obvious effort not to vomit, his breath didn't smell like roses and Gain detergent.
He tossed her to another alien and said,
"Send her through the Rift. The Lord will be happy to get his favorite pet back."
'Back? What exactly is going on here?' I wondered as my mind kept spiraling into further chaos.
Malidity looked at me after Carmen was in an alien squad car and gone.
"And his best warrior. Legend has it you could go toe to toe with The Lord and stay alive. Obviously this is either a false rumor or its true. So,"
He pulled a nightstick looking thing from his belt. He pressed a small button on it and a metal blade slid out.
The sword was about six feet long and looked way sharper than a human sword could ever get.
Without any warning, he swung the damn thing at me!
I jumped back quickly, barely keeping my head attached to my neck.
"Sir, I don't think The Lord will like you bringing him a dead warrior. Especially one as good as this one." Josh said, calmly, as if he didn't care either way.
"Nonsense. I wont kill him, just rough him up a bit." With that said he lunged at me, swinging his sword down.
I leaped to the side. 'What's going on? I'm no warrior! I'm just a kid!!'
Even though I thought this I couldn't help wonder that if that were true, how was I able to dodge all of these attacks.
Now that I actually thought about it, Malidity was sweating profusely and swinging his sword incredibly fast.
I had yet to sweat a single drop, but I was leaning, jumping, and ducking faster than Malidity's sword.
Suddenly, I lunged at Malidity. I used the back of my wrist and smacked his elbow, causing his grip to loosen. Then I hit his wrist with my palm and he dropped his sword.
I tripped him and caught the sword in one smooth motion. The next second, he was on his back with his own sword bearing down on his neck. Because it was so long I held it by the blade and found out it was double edged.
My blood ran down the blade and slid off of Malidity's neck, but he laughed. I had him pinned to the ground with his own weapon with my hands bleeding AND HE LAUGHED!!!
"So the rumors are true, but I think the Gene has corrupted this sample."
"What do you mean?" Josh said, sounding curious.
"The boy's blood." He said simply and every alien and human in earshot looked at the blood on the blade.
It was blue. Light blue.
I was shocked. How could I have blue blood?
Malidity took his chance and grabbed my head while I was distracted. Twisting it around as he inspected me.
"Black hair, Pale skin, Blue eyes...What's this?" He laughed again.
"The boy's eyes change colors 429!"
Josh came over and stared at me.
"Interesting. It seems that the gene has had an abnormal amount of influence."
Before the General could say anything to that, a laser hit him in the side. Without even flinching he turned towards the direction it came from. On top of a building stood six people.
"General Malidity! By the order of God's Army, we order you to release the boy!" A voice yelled.
"I was wondering when they'd butt in." Malidity mumbled. He threw me and I landed on my side in front of the building. A figure crouched next to me.
"Are you hurt, anywhere?" The person was female.
I sat up and looked at her. She had short curly black hair, brown eyes, and brown skin. She was wearing a black short sleeve Under Armour shirt which made her big boobs look even bigger. she had on black shorts that barely went past her knees
"Who...are you?" I asked, trying to find something to think about and keep me anchored to reality and not pass out.
She smiled a beautiful smile that will be engraved in my memory forever and said
"I'm Andi and we're God's Angels."
