"You've gotten way better at fighting." Hunter said as he swung his sword at me.

"It's only because he has great teachers." Cami pointed a handgun at me.

"I thought it was because that he's inspired by chimichangas..." Letta said, writing on a clipboard.

This was another of their 'training' session. Today we were on the roof of the dorm building. I raised my black bladed stiletto and blocked Hunter's sword and formed an ice wall to stop Cami's bullets.

"It's not any of that. It's because I can see what I need to work on. Like so," at that, I tripped Hunter, snatched his sword, tossed my stiletto and grabbed Cami's wrist and pulled her.

In a matter of nanoseconds, I had Hunter's sword sitting in the crook of Cami's armpit and her gun pointed to his head and my knife impaled in Letta's clipboard.

"I think training's over, wouldn't you say?" I helped Hunter up.

"Indeed." He grinned.

We stood at the edge of the building.

"Now its time to learn." Hunter said.

Cami and Letta put on parachutes and stood next to us.

"Okay, aerial flight class is in session." Hunter smiled.

"Tell me again why we don't need parachutes." I said while looking over the edge.

"Because, newb," Suddenly his body flashed bright orange and he was an Angel again.

"You have to learn to do this, and how to use it fully. Like this sword, do you remember her?"

He twirled it. The longsword had a red blade with a yellow guard and pommel. The handle was wrapped in a soft silk with a fire design on it. The pommel was in the shape of a fire with 'Blaze' etched into both sides.

I remembered the outline from then Hunter had almost burnt me to a crisp the first time we fought two weeks ago.

"Can't forget that sharp blade. I remember."

It was the same 'Ember Blade' from the spell and from Cami's picture.

"She's how I picked my codename." He rubbed the side of the red blade, probably imagining it stained by a much deeper shade of red when he slices into demons.

I never explained that, did I?

Apparently, the invasion is NOT aliens, it's demons. It's NOT an invasion, it's the Apocalypse. Humans AREN'T going extinct, they've been Raptured. and for some reason, The resistance is made of two squadrons. The Alpha Squadron (us), who have powers to fight massive hordes of demons. And the Gamma Squadron, which is any human without powers who is able to shoot a gun and help God win this war. Lucy says the six of us with powers are God's Generals in this war against Satan, which is why she'll always smile when she's taking out half a demon army. Letta still won't tell me what her powers is but she's got a reputation as God's Gun and EVERYONE even the Commander of Gamma is deathly afraid of her. The only people who aren't scared of her is the other six of Ghost, the only people she ever smiles at. She's very mysterious whenever Hunter and I talk about our eyes. One time she called me Michael. It was weird and she explained that I looked like someone she knew before all this.

"You ready to try?" Hunter interrupted my thoughts.

"Do I really have to jump off a building?"

He shrugged, which wasn't reassuring.

"It's how I did it." With that he spread his wings and leaped. I wasn't surprised to see him glide back up and flap to stay level.

"Now you try."
