It's very short
After breakfast Markman stopped Gerard with a smile and gave him a small folded piece of paper.
"I thought that I should return this to you. I didn't open it because I refused to believe that you were gone."
"Good."
Markman looked slightly confused but shook her head and dismissed it.
"It's nice having you back Gerard."
"Of course you are grateful to be in my presence, who wouldn't be. Ok fine. It's nice being back here."
He meant it, bluestone was his home.
"I'll keep that in mind for next time you say you hate me and want a transfer."
With that she walked off, Gerard smiled knowing that the next time would never come, he had everything he wanted and needed here. Jasper could fuck off and Frank was here, god he would even try to make an effort of being nice to Ray Bob Adam etc.
"What was that about?"
It was Frank, he was smiling.
"Nothing."
