Chapter 3

This chapter is in Claude's view

I paced outside the room it was strange I haven't been here 1 minute and I am already enticed by how different everything is.
"Claude when did you arrive?" Asked Hilda trying to distract me from the pain I was currently feeling, I stopped pacing and faced her, "I wanted to surprise teach for her birthday but I got delayed because of a storm" I explained still tapping my foot against the stone floor
"The Professor is ok!" I looked over that the door seeing Marianne peeping out of the door with a relieved sigh I asked if I could pay the teach a visit
"Of course but she still is asleep so make sure you don't disturb her" Marianne stepped out of the way as I walked through the door, I gazed across the room and saw the mountains of paper work and forms that haven't been addressed to, I stared at the sleeping teach and couldn't help but notice the dark circles under eyes and that she looked a bit pale "teach why did you over work yourself, no it's my fault I made her deal with this by herself" I sat down onto the bed and watched her sleep peacefully and remembering all the reasons she was the most beautiful person I have ever saw
"C-Claude" I looked up to She that Teach was fighting the will to fall back asleep
"Hey! Don't force yourself I can wait" I gently caressed her cheek and smiled to show that I could be patient "it's nice to see you" Teach smirked and brought her ice cold hand against my face and gently chuckled "I never thought I would be hurt and be saved by you"
I couldn't help but be entranced by her sweet voice and adorable chuckle
"Hey Claude, the Archbishop and I must talk" I looked to see Setheth, still as stern face as ever, watching the moment between me and Teach
"Of course" I got up and waved goodbye to Teach and walked out of the room and saw as a group of students talked and laughed.

I remembered when life use to be that simple when I was just a student learning from my wonderful Teach,making schemes and hanging out with my friends. I smiled at that memory and continued to stroll around the monastery remembering random moments and memories within this place. I stopped by the old Golden Deer classroom at saw that a lesson on battle tactics was going on,the teacher was explaining what to do when your surrounded my enemies while the students where clearly messing about
"Man I miss doing that" I laughed in my head as one of the students got caught sleeping
"Well...I don't miss the telling off's" I continued to stroll until dinner was announced. I sat down next to Raphael who was eating much more than anybody in this Dining Hall, Leonie was sitting opposite him eating while laughing and smiling, I remember once Teach told me:

"Leonie reminds me of my father, always so stern yet knew when to keep her guard down"

That description perfectly captured Leonie, she was dependable yet when she gets drunk not so much, I looked over to my right to see Lorenz talking about noble things with Ignatz,Lysithea (who seemed to be ignoring this conversation) and Hilda.
"So Claude what's between you and the professor?" I heard Hilda ask, I felt my cheeks go a bit warm, "nothing we are just close friends!" I Replied trying not to make eye contact with her but even though I wasn't looking at her I could sense that she was grinning "really then why after you left was the Professor wearing a ring on her finger and you and her where the only ones in the goddess tower" She asked in a curious voice
"Shoot! I forgot I gave her a ring, damn it! Now Hilda is gonna ask a ton of questions I wanted to avoid that" I thought as I started to come up with reasons why the professor had a ring on her finger
"Oh My is the Master Tactician out Of schemes?" Smirked Leonie, I guessed that all of my old classmates were ganging up on me to ask why me and the professor so close.
"I think you should let Claude be" we all turned to she Teach standing there,she had a bandage around her arms, she wore a simple black shirt with her usual shorts with tights, her light green hair was tied up into a ponytail which suited her well, her green eyes stared at the situation I had gotten into
"But Professor we were just asking questions" complained Hilda "and things were just getting good!"
"Me and Claude's relationship has nothing to do with you" She sternly said giving a hint to Hilda that she should stop but Hilda being nosey as ever said "ooooo~ So you admit that you and Claude have a relationship?" Hilda made Teach go a bright pink colour "Hilda I swear..." I heard Teach mutter, I couldn't help but think that she looked cute when she is flustered
"Claude let's go!" Teach grabbed me and dragged me away and while she dragged me we heard Hilda and the rest go "make sure to have fun~"
Which made me and Teach blush even more.

Me and Teach went to hide in the goddess tower until everyone else went to sleep "it's funny...this is place we last saw each other" I said looking at the stars that shined brightly as they surrounded the moon that focused it's light on Teach's soft and silky green hair

"You know when ever I got a break I would come here and just look at the sky" Teach didn't look at me she kept her eyes on the stars I gazed in curiosity and wondered what she was thinking, despite how she showed emotions more now I could still not read her true emotions, "Claude how were things in Alymara?" Asked Teach
"They are much better a lot of people are willing to co-exist with The people of Fodlan, some still are acting like big babies and think they are to good for the people of Fodlan" I rested my arms on the stone balcony and stood next to Teach and joined her in watching the stars "how's taking Rhea's place?" I asked back turning my attention on her
"It's......difficult, Rhea left a lot of problems for me to fix and a lot of the Nobles keep complaining about stupid things" Teach sighed, she put her head on my shoulder and just kept staring at the sky, as she did that I felt a bit of blush rise to my cheeks
"Claude should I even be a ruler?" I was surprised Teach asked this but I let her continue what she was saying "I was only chosen because I got given Sothis's power-
"don't say that! You were chosen because you are the great Hero of Fodlan and you can lead this place to a better future" I put my hands on her shoulders and stared directly into her mesmerising light green eyes. As I looked at her I could see that her cheeks started to go a bright red and she seemed to smile slightly
"Thanks for that Claude...." she gently whispered
"No prob Teach...." I desperately wanted to say "it's because I love you" but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
