(Tre's Pov)
It's hard out here whippin the brick and finessing the plug for my nigga G-Note. But I gotta eat Ya feel me? It's been this way ever since I lived with moms back in the day. Slangin just to keep the fam alive. Mom heard I was dealing so she kicked a nigga out. Now I'm living with my homie Peanut. He don't slang, he bang. He stay reppin' Pirus. But that wasn't for me. But I also kept him with me. And when things get hot. He got me, and that's all I ever needed.
"G-Note called again." Peanut called from the living room. I was in the kitchen preparing some weed edibles for my Nigga Jigs. "Man I'm busy he always giving me all the work, I'm even doing Jigs work." I hated complaining as much. But it didn't make any sense to me. G-Note got plenty of workers, I know I'm good at running it but it's gets overwhelming out here.
(Alicia POV)
I'm so tired of living with mom and my older sister Bre. Ever since graduation night they'd been on my case about college. I mean, yeah I planned on going. I've been accepted to some of the top ones. But it's as if my mind just wasn't completely there. All the drama with my ex boyfriend Terrence. My job at footlocker, as well as my second one working in Angelina's Boutique. It was way to over whelming."Alicia!" My Mom called from the other room. Her and Bre were sitting inside of our large marble tiled floor and modernly furnished dining room. "Have a seat." I could tell by her tone it wasn't going to be calm, cute, and collected.
"So I've been seeing your little apartment search papers around. You plan on moving out without telling me?" She'd asked glaring. Ugh it was just like her. Like she needed to know my every move. Well heads up mom, I'm grown now I don't need you making decisions for me.
"Yeah." I said sternly. I heard a giggle from Bre. "What the fuck is funny?" I responded hostily. "Alicia!" "No mama Bre should be tryna move out considering she's 25 and still living up under you." I knew that set off a trigger.
"You listen here little girl!" Bre said rising from her chair. "That's where your wrong, I'm not a kid anymore. You no longer have a chain on me. Is it intimidating you that I'm doing better Bre?" She reached over and slapped my face. But I swear mom couldn't grab me fast enough. I sucker-punched her in the jaw and sent another fist towards her torso, sending her to the ground.
All I could feel was mommas hand on me. "Girls please." she cried. I couldn't take it anymore I got up and busted through the french doors of our kitchen and hussled up to my room. I could hear them arguing but I'd managed to tune them out.
My cell phone lay buzzing on my dresser. It was my bestie Rainy. She was mixed, and wealthy like me. She was gorgeous and thick. Me and Rainy went back to preschool days.
Me: Hello.
Rainy: Li Li!
Me: Yes.
Rainy: So you know Tim and Derrick from school?
Me: Mhmm.
Rainy: Well they invited us to this kickback at dark skin cutie Nikko's party! So we gotta show up. So don't bother saying no cause I'm already on my way.
Me: (sighing) Haha okay.
I could use a party anyway. Help ease my mind off of everything. So I rummaged through my closet quickly.
(Tre's POV)
I'd finished all my work and it was time to head to Peanuts friend Nikko's kickback. Hopefully it'd be some fine hoes there. On the real, I be feeling lonely at time's. Especially since my drastic break up with Lashawna.
Lashawna was my first love. We'd been at it since Jr year. She decided she'd move to Florida with her folks because I hadn't proposed to her. I mean I loved her but I wasn't ready for that type of commitment yet, no matter how fine she was.
I put on my red and black polo with my chain, Levi's, and polo boots. My hair was in two neat braids under my bulls snap back. Peanut was more casual. Joggers, Tupac print shirt, Nike roshes, his hair was cut like August Alsina.
We headed to the car and my phone kept ringing. It was Lashawna weird ass. I slid end call. What we need to discuss? Far as I'm concerned she over me. Peanut seen the look on my face. "It's that hoe Shawna huh?" "You already know." He starting laughing forcing me to. "Don't trip off it bro, they come and go."
