They got ready and Louis made sure that he had his passport with him and the address to the bank. They took the elevator down to the garage and Louis made big eyes when he saw Harry's car, a black Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible. Yes, he was kind of a car enthusiast.
"Bloody hell, Harry! This is an amazing car!"Harry just smirked and opened the door for him before he walked around to the driver's side. He got in and turned the engine on and pulled the roof up to hide them. He drove out from the garage after he had put the address to the bank in the GPS. Louis enjoyed the car ride. He was smiling constantly with sparkling eyes. A half-hour later Harry parked outside the bank. He turned to face Harry.
"You don't have to wait for me if you get bored. I can find my way back.""Don't be silly. I bought a book. I'll wait." Harry assured him and Louis nodded his head and stepped out of the car.
He didn't have to wait too long for his turn and as soon as he had ID'd himself and told the nice man behind the desk what had happened he was told to come back in two days for a new card. He withdrew some money and hurried outside to Harry.
They drove home again and ordered some Greek food for lunch. They spent the rest of the day laughing and talking comfortably on the couch.
Harry made pasta for dinner and Louis tried to help to the best of his abilities. He had to admit that he was a lousy cook and that made Harry laugh. Louis really liked to hear Harry laughing and did his absolute best to draw out these wonderful laughs as much as possible. Harry seemed to find him really funny so he didn't exactly have a hard time making him laugh.
They watched a movie in the evening, sharing the same blanket. Louis found himself staring at Harry more often than at the TV. Harry caught him sometimes and just looked at him with a smile before he turned back to watch the movie.
When they finally went to bed Louis laid awake for a while. He had a really great day in Harry's company. They got along so well and it just felt effortless. He didn't know what was really going on. Were they friends or something more?
It had only been two days but it felt like he had known Harry for years. They just clicked. Or at least that was how it felt for him. He wouldn't mind if Harry kissed him. He wouldn't mind at all.
Harry knew he was gay. Louis on the other hand had no idea what sexual orientation Harry possessed and he didn't want to come out and ask him bluntly. His sexuality was his own business and surely something Harry didn't discuss at all. He just wished he knew if he was going crazy or not. It really felt like they had a spark between them. That this tension between them came from mutual attraction. Or maybe he was just delusional.
He couldn't ask Harry about it. First of all, if Harry wanted to address his sexuality, it was up to him. Louis didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable. Second of all, if he in fact was delusional he would embarrass himself and destroy everything. So he kept quiet.
He fell asleep feeling confused and he woke up the same. He and Harry had developed a routine. Harry somehow always managed to wake up before him and was already making breakfast when Louis came out of his room. Not that he was complaining. Harry was an excellent chef. He wondered if there was something Harry couldn't do. He was perfect.
They sat down to eat and Harry informed him that he had to go to a meeting downtown and suggested that Louis would do some sightseeing during the day. That sounded like a good plan even if Louis would rather spend the whole day in Harry's company but he didn't say that out loud. He didn't want to appear as the clingy type. Harry was probably fed up with his company by now so some time apart would do them good.
Harry dropped him off downtown and told him that he would pick him up at the same place at five. Harry had given him a cell phone he had lying around and put his number in. Louis had called his family last night and explained what had happened. He didn't mention Harry of course. They had been really worried about him when they had tried to call his old number and it was disconnected. He felt really guilty that he hadn't called them sooner. He had been too occupied with Harry.
Louis had a great day out but felt kind of relieved when he saw Harry's car pulling in. He hurried to get inside and gave Harry a breathless hi, accompanied by a bright smile. Harry returned it.
"Missed me?""Yeah." Louis chuckled and Harry beamed.
They went back to Harry's apartment and hung out for the rest of the evening after a lovely dinner that Harry composed. They watched another romantic comedy after Harry confessed that it was his favorite genre of movies. They were once again snuggled up on the couch together, sharing a blanket.
It was driving Louis crazy. They weren't crossing any lines but they were still acting like more than just friends. There was a lot of touching going on, mostly from Harry. A hand on the arm or shoulder, a pat on the knee. They were invading each other personal space without taking it further and they didn't address the issue. There was also a lot of fond staring and smiling going on. Louis caught him looking at him often with an almost longing expression on his face, but he couldn't be sure.
Tomorrow would be their last day together. He was debating with himself if he would try to make a move then or not. The thought made him nervous.
