Maya was sitting in her room looking at the test she had in her hand which just kept turning darker.
She had taken about a million of them by now and she was definitely sure she was going to get news that will probably shock her badly.
She heard a knock on the door as she quickly hid the test under her pillow before facing Riley.
"Hey. Uncle Josh is here to talk to you," Riley said.
"Oh gosh. Let him, through," Maya said.
"You crazy coming here?"
"I'm not going to throw you away. I know this is a mess but it's our mess and we're gonna figure it out together. No matter what," Josh said.
"I'm starting to get scared," Maya said as she looked into Josh's eyes.
"I know. But you must remain calm. For the baby. We'll go take you to the hospital for a check-up then we'll take it from there. Maya, I love you and I always will. No matter what happens," Josh said.
"Crazy thing to find out the day before your nineteenth birthday," Maya said as she brushed her hair away.
"Rather sooner than later. We'll figure out a way. As long as we stay together we'll get there," Josh said as Cory entered the room.
"Josh, staying for supper?" Cory asked.
"No. I just came to see Maya. I'll see you tomorrow," Josh said as he gave Maya a kiss on the cheek before leaving.
"Everything okay?" Cory said.
"Yeah. Yeah, everything is fine," Maya said.
