It was the next morning, as the alarm clock screamed at me yet another day.

I got frustrated, as I began to sit up once again.

"I thought I broke you!" I yelled, as I sighed in stress.

I then hit the alarm clock, so it would shut up. Then covered it with a sheet, and pushed it under my bed.

"Ughhh, so annoying!" I groaned, as I walked into my restroom again.

I looked in the mirror, and stared at my messy red hair. I shook it off, and pulled it up in a messy bun today.

I then decided it would be a good idea to sneak out of my bedroom window this time, instead of the front door, just in case.

I opened my window, and threw my bag, and my skate board out, so I could be ready to go.

I then began to climb through the window, and in my surprise, I made it through very easily.

I then picked up my bag, and began to ride on my skate board.

I came across Luca's house to say hello, but today Lucas wasn't at his house though...

He usually waits for me, Maybe he woke up late?

I arrived at the entrance of the school, and saw the party all crouching and having a conversation.

"What are they doing now." I sighed, as I walked towards them.

They all turned to look at me, "Oh, hey Max!" Lucas said with excitement.

I waved, and asked, "What are you boys doing?"

Mike then quickly replied, "Plotting how we can get popular, and get all the girls to like us!"

They all laughed, at I started at them with a dissatisfied face.

"Wanna join?" Will asked.

"Ehh, not really."

"You did something different with your hair today!" Mike pointed out.

"It's that notice able??" I asked.

"Oh, come on, will you please join us?" Lucas begged.

"I'm good, enjoy your non-stop torture of your wannabe social life." I teased, as I walked away, hearing them all yelling at me in the distance.

As I began to entire the school, I took out the sign up sheet for the gaming club I had kept in my bag.

"Now, I just have to find it..." I said to myself, searching the halls.

As I walked around the school, something caught my eyes.

I saw El outside the window, but it seemed like she was in track.

Maybe this was my chance to meet her! I thought to myself.

I then began to walk out the door, to join track, but the realized what I was doing, and stopped myself.

Was I just trying to join track, I'm not even good at track-

I then noticed that El was looking at me, she then quickly looked away though, and began to tie her shoe laces.

The coach then walked towards me, and asked, "Are you here to tryout for the club?"

I was nervous.

"Uh.. well, I-"

"Alright everyone off the track, some girl wants to try out!" The coach yelled.

"What?! I never said-"

"Are you gonna get your behind out there or not?!" The coach yelled.

I just put my head down, as I heard everyone laughing, and whispering about me. When I looked up though, I realized the only person who wasn't making fun of me was El...

I almost felt as if she believed in me, even though that was probably a lie I'm making up in my head.

I then walk over to the track, my palms sweaty. I looked around, and people were still whispering, and staring.

"Finally, gosh, how long does it take this girl to get in the track!" The coach grumpily yawned.

"Okay, I got this.." I whispered to myself.

I then heard a voice from behind me, "Are you really talking to yourself?" I turned, and saw that the El heard me speaking to myself!

I felt so embarrassed, I didn't even know what to say!

I decided not to fight, and try to talk to her.

"Hi again, El." I said looking over to her, I hoped she'd say hi back.

"How do you know my name?" She questioned.

"I heard someone call you that." I replied, hoping we could make a conversation. Even if it was about her name.

"Well, only people I like call me El. My name is Eleven." She said, walking away from the track.

"Oh, okay, see you later Eleven!" I yelled, while she was walking away. I felt like a total moron.

Does she not like me? She said that only people who like her call her El, which bothered me.

Not only that, this all happened in front of a bunch of people on the track.

I didn't know what to do, or say, so I just got ready to run.

I saw Eleven sitting on the bleachers in the corner of my eye, it didn't seem like she was paying much attention though.

"Are you ready?!" The coach calls out.

"Uh... yeah I think I am!" I yelled back.

The coach took out a timer, "You got one minute to run across that track!"

"One minute?!" I screeched.

I heard laughter form again.

"Is there a problem?" The coach replied.

"No... it's just that's a really short amount of time, and I-"

"No questions, just running!" The coach yelled.
