surprisingly, the view of the galaxy was peaceful as my eyes drift closed for a quick nap.
as i'm awoken, i see a few planets in the far distance.

"which one?" ben asks me.

"which- like which planet?" i ask, pulling bens jacket that he had draped over me when i was sleeping closer.

"well yeah, stupid" he smiles, "we could head to tatooine, coruscant, takodana, naboo.." ben names off planets while swiping through photos of them on the ships data pad.

"that one.. takodana. it's beautiful.. why don't we go there?" i ask, looking over at him.

"it really is beautiful there. let's do it" he smiles, navigating the ship in the right direction.

upon landing, my eyes are filled with the sight of green. i don't think i've ever seen so much of it, considering i lived in the city my whole life.

"oh my god.. i.." i'm left speechless as i take in the scenery.
in the distance, i spot a large castle.
some things seem to be getting rebuilt.

"what happened there?" i ask, watching bens face fall.

"a war broke out.. we should stay away from there for now. we can camp out in the woods for now."

"why the woods? there's a few villages we may be able to stay at over there" i point in the far distance.

"i'm afraid the towns people aren't so... fond of me."

oh shit, yeah. he was literally an evil supreme leader.

"oh! oh yeah. okay, i don't mind staying here. maybe i can go into the village alone to get some supplies?"

"sure i don't see why not" he shrugs, quickly digging through the ship and pulling out a sack of coins in case i need to buy stuff, which i probably will.
the walk to the village was peaceful, and i was happy considering everything that has gone on. my eyes light up as i enter the little village. i greet a few people, walking around and looking at all the food and clothes. the culture here was so.. new, and nothing i had ever experienced. i stare down at the fruits, trying to figure out how to use the currency they had.

"how may i help you?"
i hear a kind voice. looking up, i'm shocked to find it wasn't a human at all. it was some type of... alien?? whatever it was, i tried my best to look unfazed.

"um h-hello! i'm trying to buy a few fruits, but i don't know anything about the currency here." i smile, holding up the slightly heavy bag of coins. her eyes widen.

"ah you're new here, well with that much, you could buy my whole stand! and everyone else's!" she exclaims.

"oh, wow uhm.. i think i'll just take 5 of these" i say, watching as she nods and puts 5 of these weird looking fruits into a bag for me.
after shopping some more, i was finally done. with many, many coins left to spare.

"hey, i got a lot of stuff! i even got a little tent for us" i smile, plopping down the many heavy bags.
it hasn't even been a day here and i was already in love with this planet.

"okay great, i can set everything up." he smiles back, pulling out the tent and beginning to set it up. after the tent was up, the sun was almost down, and we had a perfect view of it. i sit down against the ship, soaking the sight in.

"this is beautiful." i mumble, taking a bite out of the surprisingly delicious fruit.
"it is..." ben speaks from behind me, before sitting down next to me.
"ben."

"hm?"

"thank you. for, bringing me here, you know."

"you don't have to thank me. i should still be apologizing to you for everything-"

"stop it, seriously. the more i think about it, this could possibly be the best thing that's ever happened to me." i chew the inside of my cheek as silence falls over us, my heart speeding up as his finger hooks under my chin, bringing me to look at him.

"YN, i think i'm in love with you."

before i had time to respond, his lips were on mine, the taste of fruit prominent as my hand moves to his face.
reluctantly, he pulls away as we both desperately needed air.

"i think i love you too." i smile, my cheeks as red as they could possibly be.
i jump at the sound of some type of animal howling through the night. ben smiles, standing up before helping me.

"i think that's a sign to go to bed" he chuckles.

"i agree"

the tent was cozier than expected, two beds laid on each side, and cute little lanterns hung from the ceiling.
eagerly, i flop down onto my bed, frowning at the fact that our beds were separate. i then to look at ben on his own mattress, he looked as if he were thinking really hard about something.

"you okay?"

"yeah, just tired." he smiles reassuringly, getting up to turn the lanterns off.
the sound of crickets and the occasional animal howl was all that was heard.

"goodnight YN"

"night, solo."

my eyes flutter open to the sound of quiet mumbling outside. i turn to see if ben had heard it, and to my surprise, he wasn't there.
i noticed the tent was open, so quietly i crawled towards the entrance. ben was there, talking to himself it seemed.
i tried my best to hear what he was saying, but i couldn't get closer without him noticing me.

"...the girl...

...yes master...

...the one...

...i'll be home soon..."

was all i caught, before he stopped, biting the inside of my cheek, i quickly crawl back to my spot, closing my eyes so it seemed i was sleeping.

"i know you're awake, i can sense it"
ben whispers, but he didn't seem angry, i'm assuming he didn't notice me spying on him.

"you caught me" i whisper back, opening one eye to peer up at him and smile.

"didn't mean to wake you, i just needed to go to the bathroom" he says, laying back down.

"oh, okay" i simply reply. i knew he was lying, i guess i'd ask him about it later.

the next day

"i'll be home soon" echoed constantly through my mind.
what does that mean?
who was he talking to?
curiosity was eating me up, and ben could tell. so i decided to say something.

"hey, who were you talking to last night? i don't mean to be nosy i just, i didn't see a phone or anything on you." i ask sheepishly, ben basically goes pale.

"oh, don't worry about it. i just talk to myself sometimes, it's nothing." he smiles. i nod, deciding to leave it.

i'd figure it out eventually..
