There are two things I hate most in this world.Monday's and rain.Lucky for me today was a Monday, and it was raining.I tied the laces on my shoes then grabbed my keys, cigarettes, and phone and left my apartment.I internally groan when I see Hayley at the front desk, her peppy attitude instantly pissing me off."Hey Harry!" I bite the inside of my lip as she waves me over."I have to go." I say, and push through the lobby's doors.Hayley.. I don't even know where to begin with that girl. For the two years I have been living in the building, she's been obnoxiously flirting with me every time I pass her. There was one night I was completely hammered and she offered to help me get to my apartment, I'll spare the details, but we hooked up. If I was sober, there was no way in hell that would have happened. As many times that I've told her that, she still thinks I actually have an interest in her. If she wasn't the damn building owners daughter, I would have lost my shit with her by now. It's pouring buckets outside and of fucking course I don't own an umbrella, nor do I have a hood. I jog to the parking lot and get in the car, pissed at myself for soaking my leather seats. Fucking rain. The drive to work is boring as hell, like always. The only sound is coming from the drops hitting the roof and the tires splashing through puddles, I smoke a cigarette. Today should be shit.. there's a load of people coming from corporate to observe, and afterwards I have a meeting with Tomlinson.Fucking Tomlinson. Fucking corporate. Fucking Mondays. Fucking rain. The break room is crowded.. too crowded for my liking. I grab coffee and leave without a word to anyone. I walk into the circulation room and to my box, getting the manila folder that holds my days assignments."Harry! How are you?" I turn around and am greeted by Niall. He and Hayley would be perfect for each other, they're both annoying and they both never seem to leave me alone."Fine."I push past him and try to open my folder with one hand, while trying not to spill my coffee that's in the other."How was your weekend? Get anything done? I laid in bed for the most of mine."I close my eyes and take a deep breath, the folder and Niall getting me angry."Fine and that doesn't concern you.""Right. Well then I'll see you in the lab." He smiles a toothy smile and waves me a goodbye."Fucking Christ." I mutter and finally set my cup down to open the folder. My assignments aren't anything out of the ordinary. I finish my cup of coffee and head to Lab Six. Grabbing a lab coat and goggles, I walk over to an open microscope and begin to prepare the slide. For the next few hours, I write down my observations on various specimen and bacteria and make dozens of charts. My head is pounding, but I manage to get a lot of work done. I'm thankful not many workers were assigned to this lab today so I could do my work in peace. When lunch break comes, I practically sprint out of the building to smoke. Today has been awful, and not to mention it's still fucking raining. I stand under the awning and lean against the building. My thoughts run wild about how today with Tomlinson is going to go, I know he's going to be pissed at me. I haven't sold half of what I was supposed to, I haven't grabbed anyone for him in the past month, and I haven't started making the acid he asked me to make weeks ago. I'm fucking screwed. There's no way in hell he's going to pay me this week. I light a cigarette and close my eyes. After the second puff I am disturbed by something hitting one of my shoes. My eyes snap open and a girl who I've never seen before, scrambling to pick up the contents of her McDonalds bag. I look down and a wrapped up hamburger is laying on my foot."I'm so sorry!" She says and I roll my eyes, taking another puff.I pick the hamburger up off of my shoe and hold it out for her."Thanks. Sorry again, my bag ripped." The girl says trying to hold multiple hamburgers in one hand and try to fix her soaking hair with the other."It's fine." I mutter."Yeah. I've had a pretty bad day so far. On the bright side, at least it's raining." How the hell is that a good thing?"I hate the rain." I say, looking at it, then at her. There is still some hair sticking to her forehead, and her cheeks are a deep pink. She stares ahead of her, almost in awe and I furrow my eyebrows. Her lips are slightly parted, as she tries to catch her breath. This girl isn't dressed like she works here, then again, neither am I. I kind of like her outfit though.. What the fuck am I thinking? I shake my head and take another hit of my cigarette."I love it." She says. For another moment, we stand there until she turns around. I dart my eyes to the ground to hide the fact I was staring at her."You shouldn't smoke, it's bad for you." I am bewildered by her statement. Who does she think she is?"You shouldn't eat McDonald's, it's bad for you." I mock and purposely take another drag in front of her."This isn't for me, I'm bringing my friends lunch." I rise an eyebrow. "..One of them is for me.""Hm." I grin."I'm going now. Have fun smoking that stick that controls your life!" She says and flicks her hair over her shoulder, before wiping her feet and going inside.I stare down at my cigarette, which is only halfway gone, and twist it between my fingers, her voice replaying in my mind.. "you shouldn't smoke, it's bad for you."With one last glance at the rain, then my smoke.. I surprise myself by throwing it on the ground, stepping on it and walking inside._At six o'clock exactly, I stand outside the brick building that is all too familiar, and wait for someone to open the door. I have been over thinking this meeting all day, and I don't have a good feeling about it. I shift my weight onto my left side and try my hardest to ignore the anxious feeling that had taken over me.The makeshift wooden door cracks open and from what I can make out, Mark is standing behind it. He opens it a little wider, just enough for me to step inside."Styles." He utters. "Just in time. Sir is downstairs."I walk through the old building, with careful steps. Angelina sits on the dusty couch in the supposed 'living room', tape over her mouth and handcuffed. She gives me a death glare, which I smirk at. The only reason she is still alive is because I haven't been bothered enough to make that acid. She should be thanking me for giving her some extra time. On the chair across from her is Julia, who is only alive for the same reason. She gives me a sappy look, as if I just killed a puppy in front of her. I roll my eyes at the sight and keep moving along, with Mark following behind me."Farewell ladies." I say, with keeping my head held high, not looking back. Those two were my recent grabs for Tomlinson. They've been here for over a month now, which is the longest anyone has stayed. I can guarantee he is going to make me kill them for him, considering I made him wait so long. He hates when girls are here over a week.I walk down the narrow stairwell to the lower level, which also known as Tomlinson's office. Zayn sits perched on the leather couches arm rest, Ty is sprawled out on it, tapping away on his cell phone. Mark stays by the door, with his eyes narrow on me and scowl plastered on his face. A large office chair spins around revealing a pissed off Louis Tomlinson, with his fingers laced together and a crease between his eyebrows."Boys." He gestures for all of us to sit. Ty puts his phone in his pocket and sits up, making room for me to sit.The tension filling the air is prominent and by the look on Tomlinson's face, this meeting will not be in my favor."How are you three doing today?" He musters up a fake smile and says with sarcastic tone. When nobody answers him, his smile drops and he continues, "-It's not that I actually care, for the record. Now- well, let me just cut to the chase, before I lose my paitence with you three."The sinister man glares at us and licks his lips. "Zayn, I understand you have not sold what I told you to? I surely remember giving you a whole container full of various drugs to sell.. Tell me, why have you only sold three small bags in two weeks?""I.. My job-""Your job is working for me God dammit!" Tomlinson screams. "I come first! That shitty supermarket comes second, do you fucking hear the words I am saying?"Zayn nods."Let me tell you something Malik-" Louis begins "-You have one week, no longer, until that whole container is to be gone, and I have my money. If it's not, you're going to be joining the lovely Angelina and Jules in a nice and refreshing acid bath, is that understood?" His eyebrow cocks up and I can practically feel Zayn shaking on the other side of the couch. "Very well- speaking of acid baths, Harold.." He grins."Harold, tell me, what exactly have you done in this past month?.. besides being a little pussy and having Mark ask me to give you more time?" I don't answer, I don't have an excuse. "You, along with Malik over there, haven't sold next to anything. Not to mention, my acid. Where the fuck is it?" His voice booms through the room, practically echoing off the walls. "I paid you a shit ton of fucking money for that acid, and I haven't gotten it. I have been waiting over a damn fucking month, Styles! Do you know how fucking sick I'm getting because of having to look at the same two girls, for over a month?" He seethes. If I were any closer, I would probably be able to feel the heat radiating off of him."You are the best at getting me girls, Harry. Where the fuck are new ones? You-" His index finger points straight at me.. "-You have until the end of this week to sell the rest of what I gave you, bring me my money, give me my acid, and get me three fucking girls. Three. If I don't have all the things I said by Friday at six.. Your head will be coming off of your body, and your limbs will be German Sheppard food. Clear?" I nod, not saying anything. My mind is running wild."Styles and Malik, dismissed. I need to speak to Dear Ty alone." His tone is deeper, more threatening. Poor Ty.Mark leads us upstairs and through the various rooms and hallways until we reach the door. Zayn steps out first and as I'm about to, Mark grabs my shoulder and whispers into my ear."You better get that shit done." I look back at him, then step out without a word.I trail down the various side streets, Zayn by my side, tugging at the roots of my hair. I'm stressing, fucking stressing. That acid shit is going to take me days to make, and there's no guarentee that batch will even be any good. Nobody in their right mind is going to buy over four thousand dollars worth of who knows what the hell kind of different drugs before the week is up, and girls.. How the hell can he expect three of them?I step through a puddle and immeadiatly regret it when I feel a cold liquid seep through my shoe. I pull out a cigarette and light it, letting the nicotine calm my nerves."What are you going to do?" Malik speaks up, breaking me out of my hectic thoughts."I don't know.. I'll start to make that acid tomorrow and hope it will be done by Friday. If I don't get all the shit sold, then the money will have to come from my pocket.. and as far as the girls go-"I stop walking when I see a McDonald's sign out of the corner of my eye.. I look down at my cigarette and images of the messy haired, pink cheeked, hamburger dropping, rain lover clouds my mind."I think I have an idea as to who the first girl will be."
