13 "The Hospital"

Josh pov

We enter the hospital and follow as they push Jaden and Anna down the hallways, the doctors put them in a room and ask us to wait in the waiting area. I sit down on a seat and watch Anthony pace backwards and forwards, his hands on the back of his neck, I could tell he was blaming himself. I stand up and walk over to him, he looks up at me and tears fill his eyes. I pull him into a tight hug, and he cries into my shoulder, "It's all my fault!" He states between sobs, "No it's not, it's that prick Liam's fault!" I say as Anthony comes back to my height, "It might have not been tonight but I started it!" Anthony says slowly. "Do you want to talk about it?" I ask trying to smile, Anthony open his mouth and goes to speak but we get interrupted by a nurse, "Anyone here waiting for a Jaden Hossler?" She asks looking at everyone and waiting for a response. "Yeah!" I reply, Anthony just stands still, "Come on Anthony!" I say grabbing his wrist, he pulls away "What about Anna?" He asks me. I walk up to the nurse "Excuse me, do you think you can inform us on Anna Reeves?" I ask, she flips the page on the clipboard. "She is currently in surgery, you will be able to visit her in about a hour or two, I could come get you when we are ready?" She responds, "Yes please!" I reply and walk back to Anthony "They will come get us when they are done with Anna!" I say putting my hand on his shoulder.

We walk into Jaden's room, I look to see him still asleep. I grab a chair and sit next to him, Anthony just stares at him "This is all my fault!" Anthony says under his breath, but I hear it. He walks closer to Jaden and grabs his hand "I'm sorry Jaden!" He apologises and puts his head down. "I'm sorry too!" I say looking at Jaden but meaning it for both of them.

"What happened between Liam and you?" I ask nervously, Anthony looked at me "Many people think that me and Liam fell out because he cheated on Anna, but we started to drift apart long before that!" He says quietly. "Oh ok, but I didn't even know about what happened after he cheated on Anna!" I state but I could see Anthony frown, "We had a fight, and it ended up with Anna going to the hospital!" He responds whilst staring at Jaden.

Jaden suddenly woke up and lunges forward and sits up, he looks between me and Anthony "What happened where am I?" He asks frantically. He starts to breathe heavily "Jaden calm down, Liam hit you in the head and now your at the hospital!" I reply and he starts to calm down, but then worry fills his eyes. "Where's Anna, please tell me she ran like I told her too?" He asks staring right at me, I frown and we both look at Anthony. We watch as tears roll down his cheeks, "Is she...?" Jaden asks hesitantly, "No! Liam pushed her in front of a car!" I gently say and put my hand on his shoulder.

Anthony burst out into tears, I pull Anthony and Jaden into a tight hug. We all turn our heads to the door as the nurse walks in, "You can now see Anna!" She says softly with a sympathetic smile, I gulp and Anthony stands up. "I'm going to stay with Jaden for a bit!" I say and hug Anthony.

Anthony pov

The nurse leads to Anna's room, she stops me as we stand a metre away from the door. "The doctors put stitches on her head and her right leg, she has three broken ribs. She should consider herself lucky!" The nurse informs me and then she walks off.

I let out a shaky breath and push open the door, I stare at her. She was still and pale, her eyes closed and her breath slow. I slowly walk up to her, every step I take my heart shatters a little more. I pull up a chair to the side of her bed, and wipe away my warm salty tears and hold her hand.

I cup her hand with both of mine and watch her chest go up and down. "I'm sorry Anna!" I apologise and more and more tears start pouring out of my eyes. "I promised mum and dad that I would keep you safe, but I failed you and them, and I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to protect you" I whisper.

"Anna wake up... Anna wake up and tell me that you don't hate, please!" I beg and wipe my tears away.

All of that crying really made me tired, I take one more look at Anna and kiss her forehead and grab her hand. "Whatever you do, do not leave me!" I beg and then yawn, I put my head on her bed and closed my eyes.

Anna pov

I open my eyes slowly and look down to see that I'm wearing this awful outfit. I look to the corner of the room to see Jaden asleep on a chair and Josh right next to him catching flies (sleeping but with his mouth wide open, it's a term my family always uses).

I feel something holding my hand, I look to see Anthony asleep and holding my hand tightly. I smile and go to stroke his hair with my other hand but I get this stomach turning pain in my chest and upper arm. "owww!" I whisper as quietly as I can, I breathe out and push through the pain and move my hand towards Anthony's hair. I gently stroke his hair, damn now I know why my conditioner never lasts long. Petite Merde!!! 🤬(it's french 😉)

I smile and go to plait his hair, but when I go to remove my hand from his grip, he stirs "dont leave me!!" He whispers in a sleep voice. I stick my bottom lip out, awww, i need a different approach to this, I am determined to plait his hair. I couldn't find anything so I gently remove my hand from his, I lift my hand up and I get the worst pins and needles, I bite down on my lip hard. I begin plaiting his hair and a smirk grows on my face.

Anthony pov

I feel this weird tugging at my hair, I stroke my hair and place my hand back down. Suddenly my heart dropped, why wasn't I holding Anna's hand. I quickly open my eyes in a panic, but then I see Anna quickly close her eyes and a smile grows on her face. "Anna!" I beg in a raspy voice and shake her arm a little. I grab her hand again and I then feel better, her smile keeps growing and she opens her eyes and scrunches her nose up "Guess what?" She says in an excited voice, "What?" I ask and I feel myself starting to get better, she waves me over to her ear. I stand up and lean over her and she moves her mouth to my ear "I'm awake!" She whispers in the dumbest voice, I laugh "really I hadn't noticed!" I reply and her smile brightens up the room. I gently place my hands on her lower back and pull her into a hug, I really wanted to squeeze the life out of her but I didn't want to hurt her more. She wraps her arms around my neck, I could feel her wincing in pain and that kind of made my heart sink slightly.

I place her gently back on the bed and she wipes the tears off of my checks!

A/n my sorry for not updating but this story went missing, I honestly was about to burst into tears because I love reading my fans comments and l love writing this book!!!! But everything I had wrote in this had got deleted so I had to rewrite it.

How long should I make this book?

Don't worry there will be no more Liam for a while!!!
