It's Saturday, and we just got done with the whole graduating cermony. Damn was that a mess. Four years of torture and then one night that wakes you up from hell and makes you come to realize that all these people you've seen practically every day of your teenage life will be dissappearing going their own way, continuing with their life. Some of us have it planned out minute by minute, some of us have an idea, and well the others just kind of go with the flow. I guess I have an idea of what I want to do but I didn't think the end of the school year would feel like I've just been pushed off a fifty six story high building and struggling to get the parachute open, while also taking in the view of the city thats partially surrounded by blue water and the rest where the lights stretch on for miles connecting the streets.

After saying our "goodbyes" and our "I will miss you too"s my siblings and I scrambled to the car. My dad unlocking the car said,

"Hey, Quincy are you still planning to go to that party you had later?"

"Yeah, I wanted to change first." I replied over my little brothers sound effects coming from his game boy but mostly from himself as well.

"Well don't plan on being out so late because your mother and I had something we wanted to do tomorrow." He announced with a big smirk on his face and his eyes glancing over at my mom as if it was Top Secret.

On the ride home my mom was nagging me about the colleges I was interested in but never sent in the applications except for one and how it's too late and also how doubtful she is about the one I applied for. I'm always supposed to have a back up plan, and well.. I don't this time. I'm planning to go to New York this next Monday for the entire summer, and hopefully I like it as much as the college I applied for likes my work. Although, I am going by my self, which doesn't bother me because after spending my whole childhood in California with all of these salt watered brainwashed surfer boys and the prissy girls who go for eachothers exs' I am really looking forward to a new lifestyle up in the big city.

Our car came to a hault in the drive way, and I rushed inside to change. My parents and little brothers followed in behind me shutting the front door. I decided to put on my black dress that formed to the shape of my body with my black heels that complimented my legs. I curled my hair then touched up my make up and by the time I started my car and turned on the radio it was 8:30.
