I don't know if it's over or if it's just starting

This Is It

I shuffled inside being sure I wasn't too loud I would wake my parents up. I got into my grey sweats and a loose soccer jersey. I sat on my bed opening my laptop to see a message from Naomi and Brandon. Naomi's read,
"I want all the details from last night! I talked to Brandon and it sounded like you guys are official!? What are you gonna do? I thought you hated long distant relationships!"
Before I could recall everything that happened after we smoked I was happy he remembered something.
I opened Brandon's and it said,
"Hey babe! I'm gonna go to bed now but I want talk to you as soon as you can when you wake up. Good night (: "
I set my lap top on my desk and turned out the lights.

I woke up to the smell of waffles and my brother hugging me.
"Hey bud" I said.
"Hey sis.. Are you leaving today?" Dean asked in a soft voice.
"I'm leaving later, you'll probably be in bed though, why?"
"Because I don't want you to leave, I need some one to help me on my video game."
I giggled as we got up and headed down the stairs.
"Dad could help you, he created most of it, remember?"
He hopped over the last two steps and replied,
"Well yeah, but.. Okay."
"Hey kiddos! Waffles are ready, your mom's finishing up the fruit. What did Quinn say I could help with?"
Dad excitedly interrupted.
"I was just wondering if you could help me get past the second level in your game." Dean suggested while he grabbed a couple waffles.
"Of course, but not today because we have something special we are doing after breakfast." Dad said while putting the fruit and drinks on the table.
Home made chocolate chip waffles were my favorite and also the last breakfast I would be having at home. I wondered what my parents had in mind for this afternoon though. I'm extremely tired from last night and I remembered I had to call Brandon soon. I helped clean up the kitchen and my mom and I were talking as my brother and dad went to go take showers.
"How are you feeling about the flight?"
"Mhm, I'm just anxious for the landing and getting around part. What about you mom, you still look worried."
"Yeah, just getting used to the idea, my baby girl is leaving me." My mom teared up.
"Awe mom." I turned around and hugged her. "I know, I said I would visit frequently. During the breaks and holidays, I'll text you updates and pictures for sure!" I added, trying to cheer her up."
"I know honey.."
We finished up and went to get ready.
Before I took a shower I called Brandon.
"Hi!" He answered. "I wanted to talk to you about last night.. I was wondering if you would like to make this official.."
He paused but continued before I had a chance to respond. "I know you're leaving and it really isn't the best timing but I've been contemplating it for the last couple weeks but last night was different and I felt something more."
I was kind of expecting it.. Obviously because of what Naomi told me but I noticed he was more gentle, with his words and the way his hands grazed over my skin. I didn't know what to say and for some reason I couldn't let my self believe there might've been something more last night.
I answered back. "Yeahh, but I'm leaving later.."
He tried convincing me that it would work but we sticked to an open relationship.
I plugged in my phone and got ready.
After my shower I decided I would wear my black leggings with my turquoise Arctic Monkey shirt. I twisted my hair up into a bun and finished with my makeup.
When I joined my family down stairs Dean blurted out the big secret before my parents could say anything,
"WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY LAND!!" He yelled.
I was shocked. Yeah, I live so close to it but its been years since I've been! I also feel a bit overwhelmed because I'm leaving in ten hours to be at the airport but it will be nice to relax today at the "Happiest Place On Earth". On the other hand, Dean was more than excited. He was jumping up and down then darted up stairs to get his Lego shaped back pack. My parents pulled out an envelope that had a check inside that was labeled "Quincy" written with black cursive ink.
My dad said, "Now, don't lose that. You should put it in your backpack along with your other bags."
Mom quickly added, "We thought we would add extra to your trip. I know you had it covered but we couldn't let you go with out what we had put aside for you."
I tucked it inside my suitcase and gave them both another hug and thanked them.
My brother returned, he was changed into his Lego themed t-shirt and shoving his action figures in his bag. My dad raced him to the car as mom gathered the back pack that would hold our waters and the camera.
