Chapter 2

3 weeks later

So far my new life had gone by smoothly. Emiy and Jacob couldn't be more nicer and Darwin was growing up so fast. I still couldn't get my self to call them mom and dad. As much as they would like that the few memories I still had left from my real parents were still holding me back. There's just something that kind of bothered me though. I had no friends to talk to or to be crazy with. I guess I still had my friends from my old highschool but we just texted a few times. Most of my afternoons and nights when I had nothing to do consisted of watching a bunch of movies, watching funny videos, eating a lot, and mostly listening to 5sos. I was also so happy because 5sos was coming to my city ,Houston, TX and my birthday was also coming up ,August 29. Even though I wasn't going to their concert I still had a chance of seeing them around the city which was still pretty exciting. As for my birthday, since it was one day before the concert  I was planning on asking Jacob and Emily if they could drop me off at the mall as  a 'birthday present', but really I was just hoping to see the guys.That way they wouldn't have to worry about giving me a present. It wasn't like I was expecting one anyways because they had already given me food and a home. I know it sounds cheesy but it's true. 

August 29

Since today is my birthday Darwin came in my room like at 8:00 and jumped on my bed while singing happy birthay. I mean you couldn't be mad at him if you saw him. I t was too cute. Then when he finished serenading me he gave me a big bear hug as he calls them and told me "Mommy and daddy are waiting for us downstairs c'mon", and with that he left. I quickly stood up and went to the restroom to wash my face and my teeth. I didn't know what to do with my hair so I just braided it. Since it was still pretty early I left with what I slept with, which was some sweatpants and a fairly tight shirt. I really liked how it looked for some reason. Anyways as I headed downstairs I stopped in the last step because I heard Emilly whispering something to Jacob. I didn't quite hear it well but it went something along the lines of a suprise. I just decided to try not to think about it to much. When I walked in the kitchen they  just smiled and said Happy Birthday.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIERRA!!", Jacob and Emily shouted in unison. 

"Thank you!', was all I managed to say. It was too early for me so I just tried to make the best of it. After that we all ate breakfast and Jacob was telling me that I was really growing up fast and all that. I just agreed with them by nodding my head. I couldn't say much due to the fact that I was really enjoying my breakfas. Emily was a really good cook. Finally I had finished with what felt like a food comma. Then right out of the corner of my eye I spoted what looked like some sort of paper under my plate. When I checked to see what it was I couldn't believe my eyes.

"OH MY GOD THESE ARE TICKETS TO THE 5SOS CONCERTS!!!", I screamed excitedly. I didn't even know I could scream that loud at 8 in the mrning. Then when I looked at Jacob and Emily  they were just smiling and laughing at me.

"Well we are glad to see you liked our little suprise", Jacob said after he finished laughing.

"I was hoping that if you had no one to go with I could join you since I am really digging this band. They are really good", Emily said.

"Yes of course that's fine Emily. Thank you so much guys I really appreciate it but how did ya'll know?" I asked.

"Well you see a little birdy told me they were coming and well I have my contacts which made the ticket buying way easier. Then I tought to my self since Sierra's birthday is coming up and she loves this band then why not right", Jacob stated.

"Thank you so so so much guys you guys are the best!", I said then my happy tears were threatning to come so I let them.

"Oh honey don't cry because you are going to make me cry. I even learned a couple of songs so I could really fit in", Emily said half laughing. In the end we just all laughed even little Darwin.

"We are also still going to take you to the mall if youn want. By taking you we mean dropping you off of course", Jacob said.

"Yes of course I still want to go thank you so much again. I am going to get ready see you in a bit thanks again!", I exclaimed while going back to my room. When I got back to my room I just stood there looking at the tickets in awe.

"YES I am going to the concert I am going to the concert!!!", I screamed to no one in particular. Then I realized I was still going to the mall so I needed to get ready.I took a shower then I changed. I decided to go with some black skinny jeans and a my favorite tank top. It was like a burgbundy color and it was plain but I just really loved it. For shoes I just chose my black converse. This is the tricky part I didn't know what to do with my hair. Finally I gave up and just straighten it. I don't really wear make up just lipstick or lipgloss. Since my skin is a very tan color because I am half mexican half american I went with a kind of dark color for my lips. Which I must say didn't look too bad. After I finished I unplugged my phone and put it in my back pocket. Before I left my room I put on a few braceletes that I really liked. Then I went back downstairs were everyone was already waiting for me.

"I am sorry if I made you guys wait", I said. I instantly got a little embarassed.

"It's fine Sierra we bearly came downstairs too", Emily said. I instantly felt relieved that I didn't make them wait too long. 

Then we all got in the car and drove off to the mall. Since we were pretty far away it took Jacob like half an hour to get there. When we got there it was bearly 2:00 pm so they decided to do a little shopping of their own since they had the day off.

"Okay sweety we are going to head off to a couple of stores here you go if you want to buy something", Jacob said. Then he handed me 100 bucks.

"It's alright Jacob I don't really need this m", but before I could finish they were already off. I kind of felt wierd and bad because nobody has ever given me that much money. So I just decided not to spend it all. I just went to a few stores and bought two shirt and a pair of pants just to fill my closet a little bit more. Then I went to my favorite store. While I was looking trough the store I saw the album 5sos had just released a couple of weeks ago. Then I remembered the whole reason why I came to the mall. So I qickly left the store and I saw someone staring at me as I left but I decide to ignore it. It was proably just some creep. I was getting pretty thirsty so I went to a small cafe and bought a sweet iced tea. The coldness of the tea felt so good against my throat. Then I automatically started looking to see if I could spot the guys when I saw that same guy staring at me again so I decided to confront him.

"Hey why are you following and staring at me?", I asked.

"What are you talking about?", the unknown guy asked with an accent that sounded very similar but I couldn't remember where I've heard it before.

"You know what I am talking about. When I came out of that store you were staring at me", I said pointing at the store I just came out of. "Then I came to buy a drink and here you are outside staring at me again!!", I said almost shouting. A few people were staring at us already.

"SHHH!", he said putting his finger on my mouth and I gladly shoved his hand away. He had very big hands by the way. "Don't start screaming please!", he pleaded me.

"Why should I listen to you when you are the one creeping?", I asked him.

"First of all I was not creeping I just tought you were pretty and second of all you dropped this", he said and he handed me $55.

"How do you know these are mine and not some other strangers money?", I asked him.

"Well because when you where leaving the store I saw them fall out your back pocket", he said all defensive.

"Oh so you were checking me out you perv!!", I said just a little bit more quiet. 

"No I wasn't I was just looking around the store and happened to see them fall out", he said. Then that's when I recognized his accent.

"Hey by the way you perv are you from australia?", I asked him very curiously.

"Yes, yes I am. Why?",he asked back. Then I instantly assumed he knew the guys for some reason.
