"Ten shots for the past ten months in hell! Oops. Law school pala."

"Alex, mamamatay ako niyan," Sari groaned. She was already tipsy. After the Oblicon finals, they did not waste any time to celebrate the end of their hellish semester.

"Loosen up, Sari. We deserve this," Dane quipped. Kim nodded in approval.

Sari sighed but downed three shots in succession nonetheless. She paused to suck on a lemon. Her friends cheered her on.

Sari drank five more before deciding she already had enough. She has high alcohol tolerance but the lack of sleep clearly caught up with her. The spinning in her head was the right amount of pleasant but she could tell that she was just shots away from being downright wasted. She excused herself from her friends na umangal na hindi niya natapos yung sampu pero hinayaan rin naman siyang umalis. She headed to the comfort room.

While dodging some people humping each other on the dance floor, Sari felt a hand on her shoulder. Sari sighed and she squinted through the poor lighting to see who it was. She was fully prepared to turn down some horny guy trying to score a naive girl in the club, but there was no mistaking that perfect hair she would love to run her hands through nor that smirk she would like to wipe off his lip with her own.

"What are you doing here?" Sari asked.

"Celebrating the end of the sem. Andito rin ba blockmates mo?"

"Yep. If alam ko lang kanina pa, we could've had some drinks together!"

"Pwede pa naman. Why? Aalis ka na ba?" Ricci asked, composed, but somehow Sari could hear a tone of disappointment. Baka lasing na talaga siya.

"No. But I think I should stop already. I don't wanna blackout."

"Kumain ka ba before uminom?" Sari nodded. "It's the lack of sleep then. You okay?"

"I'm fine." Actually, no. Sari was feeling heady with the image of Ricci in a form fitting deep red long sleeved shirt. His big eyes, long lashes. Her stomach turning into butterflies. Was she about to vomit? Sari could not tell. Her heart pounded as the neon lights hit the side of Ricci's face. Fuck. She has it bad.

Ricci bit his bottom lip. Mukhang nag-aalinlangan sa susunod na sasabihin. He glanced at Sari's friends who were getting wilder by the minute. "If you're not going to drink na, can I drive you home?"

Okay, it's now or never, Sari thought. "How about we continue this celebration at your place?"

Ricci just stared at her. Sari was regretting what she said as every second quietly passed when Ricci suddenly grinned. Ang yabang pero hulog na hulog ka naman.

"Let's go."

ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ

Sari's heart was about to go out of her chest as she took a seat on the couch.

"Gusto mo ng tubig?" Ricci's voice suddenly seemed deeper, making Sari's heart beat wildly.

"Yes, please."

Ricci returned with a glass of water and handed it to Sari. He took a seat next to her, their thighs touching. Her mouth suddenly dry, Sari downed the water just like how she downed the shots earlier. She set the glass on the table in front of them.

"You feel okay na?"

Sari nodded. "Yeah."

Ricci leaned over, closing the distance between him Sari. He softly planted his lips over hers. Sari's breath hitched as Ricci stroked her cheek with his thumb.
