The final thing the coin discussed with me was its choice. Something it has been considering for a very long time, but never felt complete enough to carry it out until now. It didn’t have anything more to offer to the world being so badly defaced and virtually unrecognizable. It begged me to help it. I begged it to reconsider like any good person would. It wouldn’t. It told me I was one of the best friends it has ever had and ensured me I will always make the right choice just like it did. And with that it leaped far from of the grasp of my fingers landing dead center of the pond. I hold back a small tear after the perfect image of the evergreen tree becomes badly distorted as the first circular ripple approaches my mud-soaked shoe.
