✖️Calum's POV✖️
It was an ordinary day, writing songs, and listening to Green Day. Luke, Mike, and I were playing guitar, when all of a sudden Ashton starts groaning.
"Guys" he whispers. "my stomach hurts."
"Get over it loser!" Michael yells before any of us get to speak.
"No, seriously, I think I need to go to the hospital." Ashton explains, as Luke rushes to the phone.
"Ash, are you okay?" I ask.
"No, it really hurts." he explains.
Ashton is in a chair, groaning, and clenching his abdomen. Michael looks concerned, and looks like he was regretting what he said to Ashton earlier.
"It'll be okay buddy" Michael says. "I promise"
Luke walks back in, with a glass of water, and the phone.
"Ambulance said they'd be here in a few." he says, handing him the glass. "how ya feelin?"
"I.....t....... really hurts" Ashton says, crying, and continuing to clench his abdomen.
A small tear runs down Michaels face, as soon as the ambulance came. Ash was then rushed off to the hospital.
"I love you lads" Ash groans.
"We love ya too Ash" I say, as they carry him away.
Luke, Mike, and I get in Luke's car, and drive to the hospital, following the ambulance.
"I hope he's gonna be okay" exclaims Luke, as he pulls into the hospital parking lot.
"Don't worry, our Ash is strong, and he knows our fans need him. Just look at his instagram. He has like 3 million followers, and that's more than Mikey and I have." I explain to Luke, as we get out of the car, and to the hospital doors. "They really love him."
We walk to the front desk, seeing a sign that says "Lunch break. Take a seat, and we will get back to you shortly.".
"Well this sucks." I say, breaking the silence.
We were left sitting in the front of the hospital, waiting for a response from a doctor, or someone that knew about Ashton. Finally, in exactly 23 minutes, and 15 seconds, the doctor came out.
"How is he doc?" Michael asks.
"Is he gonna be alright?" Luke asks, putting his face close to hers aggressively.
"We don't know yet. We can't get him to lay on his back straight. His stomach is really bothering him." She explains like we didn't know that his stomach hurt.
"Okay, just check in with us!" Michael says, waving to her, so nicely, like he likes her or something.
I turn to Luke, who has his head in the palm of his hands, probably crying.
"What if he doesn't make it?" He mumbles. "what will happen if we need to get another drummer?"
"I don't know, but I do know if he does pass, we'll lose ALOT of fans. He is like the glue that keeps us together." I say, as a big fat tear runs down the side of my face.
"How are we gonna explain it to the fans?" Luke asks, picking up his face, revealing it being cherry-colored.
"I don't know, it's not gonna be easy." I explain.
✖️✖️Michaels POV✖️✖️
I didn't know what exactly to think. My best friend is in the hospital, with a stupid, fucking stomach problem. Oh, on top of that, we have a freakin interview tomorrow. How are we gonna fucking do that without Ash?? How are we gonna even be a band without our beloved drummer?? Makes me sad, just thinking of a song. Almost every song has a drum beat in the background.  No more keeks of Ashton, or his giggle that girls just fall for.
I couldn't do anything, but to sit between Calum, and Luke, and join their crying crew. I didn't know whether to start a conversation, or not. I haven't seen the boys cry this much, since 5st grade, when they got in a fight, and kicked each other in the balls.
✖️✖️Calum's POV✖️✖️
I tried to stop crying, but Mike next to me, crying up a storm, didn't really help. Ashton is one of my best friends! I can't have him die. What would the band be like without him??????
✖️✖️Luke's POV✖️✖️
I remember when Ash let me play on his drum set, and I almost broke the bass drum, by stepping on the petal too hard.
✖️✖️CALUMS POV✖️✖️
Luke, and Michael, and I, were waiting outside Ashton's hospital door, waiting for a response from someone. I looked to Luke, to my right, then to my left, seeing a familiar face of Mackenzie Harmon.
"What are you guys doin' here?" She asks, as she gets the answer of crying.
"Oohhh, what's wrong this time?" She asks noticing that Ashton was missing. "did he get overly drunk--"
"NO" I yelled "I mean, no. He was experiencing some stomach problems, and there's a possibility he may die."
"Oh, sorry, can I sit with you guys?"
"Yeah, why are you here anyway?" Luke asks, obviously trying to keep the crying down.
"Just making sure my Grandmother was okay. She had a heart attack yesterday." Mackenzie says, looking at the floor.
"Oh, I hope she gets better" He says, looking to her, as the door to Ashton's hospital room opens.
I could see Ash through the crack in the door, where it opened. He was sitting in there, still clenching his lower abdomen.
"Boys, I have good news, and bad news.". She says, as I turned to see Michael staring at the doctor. "Ashton is gonna be fine, but, the bad part is that he has appendicitis, and he has to stay here for 3 days, for surgery."
The doctor walks to the front desk, passing Michael. I could see him whiffing in the smell of her perfume, then staring at her butt.
"Well guys, he's gonna be alright. Let's go get some lunch." Luke says. "Mac, would you like to join us?"
"I would be delighted." she says, smiling, and staring at her feet.
We get up, and walk out the hospital doors, wiping off the tears that we had cried. Michael and I got into Luke's car, then I realized Mackenzie was all by herself. I quickly hopped out of Luke's car and rushed over to Mackenzie's car.
✖️✖️MACKENZIE'S POV✖️✖️
I started to back out the parking lot, when my car passenger side door opens.
"Is it okay if I ride with you?" He asks me, his eyes gleaming like a star at night.
"Yeah, it's perfectly fine." I said.
I continue to back out of the parking lot, and start to follow Luke to wherever we were going for lunch.
"So, Mackenzie, how's life?" Calum asks, breaking the silence between us.
"Um, I guess it's okay?? Not really the best, but, uh, yeah" i say not really knowing what to say. "Ya know what? After lunch, you guys can come to my place to watch a movie or somethin"
"Yeah, sounds great." Calum says.
