Stars glistened in the peaceful night sky as Artemis and Willow sat down around a fire that Willow created. It has been an exhausting day. Willow's feet hurt from hunting and walking through the forest with Artemis.
"Lady Artemis, about the prophecy, where the part is says to travel led by a star that glistens white. Aren't all stars white and glistening?" Willow asked, suddenly reminded of the prophecy as she gazed up at the stars.
The goddess smiled as she leaned onto her bag. "Some stars tend to be brighter than the others. Look again, Willow, this time more carefully. Find the one that seems to shine a lot brighter than the others."
Willow inspected the stars for a while, then she noticed a bigger, brighter one. "I found it!" She cried out and jumped up (she always jumps up and runs in a circle when she gets excited or surprised). Artemis laughed at her reaction.
Suddenly, a rustle came from one of the bushes. Both she and Artemis jumped. The goddess picked up her bow and arrow. Then, a tall girl with ombre hair that fades to teal that is wearing a hoodie and tight leggings with sneakers came in. She also had a white streak in her hair. She was pretty, in a tomboy way. The weirdest part about her is that one of her eyes she had were blue, and the other green.
"Hi, um, who are you?" Willow asked as Artemis lowered her weapon. The girl bowed to the goddess then turned to Willow.
"The name's Skylar, Skylar Estelle Foxx," the girl answered. "What's your name?"
"I'm Willow, Willow Nightfall," Willow said enthusiastically. Skylar smiled at Willow then sat down.
"Why are you here, are you one of the five in the prophecy?" Willow asked.
"I guess," Skylar answered as she told them her story. It was the exact same one as Artemis and Willow. Except that she had a younger sister called Minnie that was also in trouble. According to Skylar, she was probably tricked.
"Is she also trapped in that blasted place called Greenwood mansion as well?" Artemis growled angrily.
Skylar nodded. Together they started discussing about the prophecy. Willow discovered that Skylar can shapeshift. After listening to some ideas that Artemis and Skylar had, Willow was sure that this quest was a LOT harder than it actually seems.
"It's getting late, both of you get some rest," Artemis said after the discussion had lasted about what, 20 minutes? How long was a minute again?
The goddess leaned against a tree and kept the first watch. Skylar lay on another corner, closing her eyes. Willow found a soft patch of moss and lay down as well, as darkness like a raven's coat surrounded her vision.
