Logan walked out of his room. It had taken awhile, but he had morphed into something he couldn't explain. He knew he had to take on the roles that were not accounted for, but now he was much more than that.

If you were not careful, you would mistake him for Thomas.

They acted exactly the same: Logan had even begun dressing like him. A red t-shirt, and dark blue denim jeans. They were almost indistinguishable. Logan still wore his glasses, the only thing keeping him and Thomas separate.

Thomas liked talking to Logan. Logan was safe. So, Thomas did not talk to anybody. He did not know if they were safe. Some doctors said he had multiple personalities, but that was not true. He saw Logan, and Logan therefore existed, did he not?

Logan tried to tell him that he needed more friends. He said that friends were safe and warm. So, Thomas would try to find a friend. Logan said that friends only got better if you had more of them.

Thomas couldn't believe his ears when he was told! Logan had always been right, and friendship almost felt magical.

It was unreal.

Setting foot out the door, Thomas walked with confidence.

Thomas had a task for the day. Thomas always completed his tasks.

That was who he was,

of course,

he always made a plan.

Some people said he was too logical

that he worked too hard.

But it was not hard to be logical,

Rational,

And fair,

When that's all you are.

Thomas did not need them.

People who questioned him were wrong,

And that was that.

He would continue being the perfect student.

Never late.

Never wrong.

Never imperfect.

Thomas was exactly what he was supposed to be.

Thomas

Was

Perfect.
