Allison wakes up as she hears the birds chirping and sees the sun shining. She looks over to see a princess still sleeping peacefully and decides to not wake her just yet. Allison gets up and leaves the tent to go make breakfast. About ten minutes after Allison leaves Ophelia wakes up. She looks around the tent and finds that Allison's bed is empty. The Princess was confused for an instant and then felt panic. 'What if they came back and took her, what if she's been kidnapped and they are hurting her!'Ophelia thought.
'Wait it's Allison she wouldn't be kidnapped so easily, what if she just left me because she thought I wasn't worth the trouble?!' Ophelia thoughts started to escalate. She gets up, furious with the thought of Allison just leaving her behind but once she exits the tent she sees none other than Allison who was making breakfast.
"Hey, Princess. I see you're finally awake, I was just finishing with the food. Just letting you know I'm not going to cook for you every time, I'm only doing this because you passed out and I felt bad." Allison explains. She turns to look at the Princess who looks both furious and relieved. "You good there princess? It seems like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Allison chucked as she passed the food to Ophelia.
"Yeah... yeah, I'm good now, I just... um didn't know where you were." Ophelia mumbled as she started eating "Awww the princess was worried about me. That nice and all but I can take care of my self." Allison teased. Ophelia just rolled her eyes and continued eating.~~~~~Time Skip~~~~~
The princess and the warrior were again wondering the forest like before and Allison still didn't trust that the necklace could actually bring them to the princess's mother.
"Ok so is this just going to be our whole journey? Walking around following a necklace through the woods, because it's getting pretty boring" Allison complained while dragging her feet like a child being forced to go somewhere. Ophelia rolled her eyes and kept walking. "Well, you agreed to this so that's on you," Ophelia says annoyed."Well, I'm starting to regret it..." Allison mumbles quietly. Ophelia looks back furious "What was that?!" she yells."Nothing I said nothing at all!" She responds quickly. Ophelia turns back and just keeps walking.
As they continue to walk through the forest they start to hear people. They keep walking until they find a small village. The people seem to be putting up banners and decorating the streets. The village wasn't on Allison's map she guessed that since it was in the middle of the woods no one really knew about it even being there.
The Girls walk through the village looking around at the small houses and stores. They soon find themselves in the middle of the village where they find a large fountain and next to it a booth with a sign saying 'welcome'. Inside the booth, there was a young girl with pink hair smiling and waving at the people that passed by. The girls approached the booth and as soon as the pink-haired girl sees them she turns and smiles at them.
"Welcome to our wonderful village my name is ruby and you're right on time for our annual festival it's going to be a lot of fun! This is a two-day festival, the first day is the family gathering and the second is the talent show with a big finale from our town mage!" Ruby explained.Ophelia paid attention to every single word and she was intrigued, it had been a while since she had gone to a festival. Allison, on the other hand, couldn't care less, she just wanted to get out of this weirdly happy town and finish this mission so she can move on with her life. Also, she wasn't a big fan of festivals or any other type of big party thing since most of her life revolved around training and adventuring not what others would call 'having fun'.
"Sadly our mage is not around at the moment because they are preparing the family gathering but you can go to the blacksmith store tomorrow they will be there and you can sign in and find out more about how the family gathering works. If you have any questions please feel free to ask." Ruby continued. Ophelia nodded then looked down to her necklace, it seemed as if it wasn't trying to guide her anywhere like it wanted her to stay where she was.
