"But I didn't do anything wrong! Why does Shu and I have to be here?!" I kept my hands on my ears from the loud mess Valt was creating. However, he is right about one thing. Why are the two of us in school on a Saturday?
We continued to follow the lady in black who appeared to be the assistant principal. Her heels echoed as we stormed the halls in search of the "meeting room".
"Ma'am, why are we here in school?" I asked as she frantically continued to check her papers over and over.
"Don't worry, you two aren't in any trouble. I remember that you two are the President and Vice President of the school!" Valt and I glazed at one another before looking back at the lady who keeps dropping her sheets of paper and recollects them.
"Uhm, ma'am, we're not the President nor the Vice President of the school," I corrected. She froze in the middle of the hall right before dropping to the ground.
"Woah!! Ma'am, are you okay?" Valt shouted as he ran towards the lady on the ground.
"I'm so fired," she murmured to herself. Suddenly, she slowly started crying into her workload of sheets. "Wait!" Sitting up, she stared at us with tears still running down her cheeks. "It'll take to long to call the real council members, but you two. I need you guys to do me a favor."
"Sure! I'm down!" Valt cheered.
"Great, I need you two to keep an eye on the school and when other councils members from other schools come by, bring them to the main office on the first floor and you two are going to represent this school's President and Vice President. Don't screw up and, oh shoot! Why does time have to go by so fast! Bye, and don't stress out!" With that, she left running out of the school with... Valt in I in charge!?
"Shu! Do you know what this means?!" I groaned as I buried my face into my hands.
"Yeah, I guess we're in charge of this disturbingly empty school." He smiled as he began to run around the halls. Immediately, I chased after him. What's gonna happen if I lose track of the kid?
Sprinting about the school, he finally stopped as he snuck into an empty room. A smirk crawled up my face as I looked around.
"Oh no! Where can Valt possibly be?" I shouted. He loudly giggled and that's when I kicked the classroom door open. Dashing in, I caught Valt off guard by catching him into my arms. "Where do you think you're going?" I threatened. He continued to laugh as he tried to escape my grasp.
"Um, who are you two people?" We turned around to find a surprisingly tall kid sitting in one of the seats of the classroom. He wore all black and his black slick hair covered half of his face. Looking into his eyes, it seemed as he haven't slept for days.
"We're in charge of the school! Isn't that right, Shu!?" I nodded at my friend's statement, but the kid sitting idle in his chair didn't care. He rolled his eyes and looked out the window.
The sun shined its beams through the glass of the window and brought natural light to the classroom. However, the kid and his mood didn't make the environment any warmer. Instead, it felt rather cold. Although, we're still in the season of winter and slowly shifting into spring.
"Now, let me ask you a question, why are you here?" I asked. The boy didn't bother to turn his head to face my direction.
"No reason, just bored." Sighing, I walked up to the kid's seat and slammed my hands on his desk. He jumped in his chair and stared right into my eyes.
"Then I don't think you belong here," I muttered under my breath. He flicked his head and glared into my eyes like a loin, but I glared right back. "I think I do." He smacked my hands off the desk and rose from his seat.
