Steffy was trying to remain calm and refrain from swearing in front of Ridge.
Unsure of what to do she decided to need back up, the professional kind.

Not even an hour later Carter arrived at Steffys. "What's the emergency, I came her straight from the office, your dad is confused as to why you would need me!?"
Steffy ran her fingers through her hair, "this needs to stay between us, sorry to put you in this predicament but I think it is best, you will understand once you know"

He sat himself down and got his tablet out waiting for Steffy to open up with what she needs "ok well lets here it".
She nodded "it about Bill, he wants I think even may demand I put my daughter through DNA tests he thinks he is the dad" she quickly sat down "so I think Liam is the dad, like we did a test that confirmed it, and I don't need or want a test that should be enough for this issue to go away right?"

Wow Carter was expecting Hope drama, something with work not this, Bill has every right to ask for a test, but wow it will cause so much issues how will I brake the news to Steffy. He looked up saw she was getting impatient "Steffy Stef I think you know he has mertit to get theses tests, unfortunately everyone knows you guys argh you know"
Steffy was getting irritated "yes we had sex"

Carter knodded "do you acknowledge there was no protection used by either of you?"
"Yes it was spare of the moment emotions everywhere and clothes no where" she joked.
Carter jotted down notes, "not sure if we can stop him from getting tests, so maybe get your side of the sex down while I am here so we can keep this on the down low and assume you don't want Liam to find out?"

"Ofcourse not that will cause so much unnecessary drama, don't know Bill is doing this, he seemed happy as her grandpa" she replied.
Carter "well lets hope he won't mention this again but if he does I can tell you will fight him for it so that's all I need to be aware of for the time being" he stood up am was making his way out.

"Thank you for coming and please let's keep this between us." She tried to smile but she did feel deflated and defeated.

Bill headed back to the office after Steffys instead of home to Katie. He texted Justin to meet him in his office.
"So boss how's Steffy?" He asked teasingly.
Bill laughed to himself "shocked, annoyed is probably the best way to describe don't think she happy about this, but I really don't care , holding Kelly today looking in her eyes I feel it she is mine"
Justin really did think it possible Steffy or someone at the hospital faked the results, "well tests can be faked and you two had unprotected sex"
"Between you and me although one night it was more then once, she was insatiable " he remarked.
"I would expect nothing less between you two, I remember the chemistry you had".
