My eyes were shut tight, but I was awake. They feel heavy, aftermath of last night and the nights before, sleepiness can't seem to knock on my door and visit me at night. Officer Agostino Botti was driving me to Lake Tahoe Nevada. The booming sound of music from his car's stereo was defeaning, the soundtrack that was playing was not a typical police officer kind of music.
Baby, I'm preying on you tonight
Hunt you down eat you alive just like animals, animals, like animals -malsMaybe you think that you can hide
I can smell your scent for miles just like animals, animals, like animals -malsI slowly opened my eyes and was greeted
by the clarity of the waters and the panorama of the surrounding mountains. This place was enchanting. I sank my self more, hugging the terry cowlneck hoodie I was wearing. Officer Botti was driving in a slow pace, one thing that a good and law abiding officer would do. He turned down the stereo's volume and slightly shifted his body, so he could face me. I'm up for another lecture.... I see.
"Heather, I know this must be hard for you, but all you need to do is be good and continue your sessions with the new Dr. okay."
"I can take care of myself officer, you shouldn't be worrying too much."
I answered with the sternity in my voice, I understood what he meant be good to whoever is assigned to help you, like be good and kind enough to thank him for driving me here, since he was assigned to.... Yup the typical thank you thing.
The next thing I knew, there was a screeching sound, and Officer Botti was turning the wheel into a tight grip. When I opened my eyes... the car stopped, I saw a Volkswagen Variant Wagon stopping, I couldn't see clearly but a tall guy was coming out of the car, he wasn't the driver.... I was sure that he came from the front seat but not on the drivers side of the car.
"Stay here."
"--delinquents this days."
I heard him utter, before getting out of the car. Officer Botti was talking to a brown-haired guy, who looked about my age, he was obviously good looking from what I see, I heard the guy apologize, but I knew Officer Botti won't let this off that easy. Minutes later the Volkswagen's door opened from the drivers side and a man with thick black hair that reached his eyes, an inch taller than the guy officer Botti was dealing with got out of the car, he was wearing a Heringbone hooded flannel matched with Taper fit jeans.... he was gorgeous.
"I would like to apologize for my reckless driving, officer."
His voice was deep, the way he uttered those words felt like he just wanna get the situation over with. His tone was giving it off... he was bored.
"Alright, next time you drive, make sure to set your eyes on the road, kid."
"Thanks officer you have our word. We'll be more careful next time."
The other guy said. Officer Botti turned his back on them and was heading back to the car. I decided to get out of the car to stretch the muscles I've been keeping in one place, my feet's aching, result of the four hour drive. When I got out of the car the strong wind sent chills all over my body making me hug myself tighter, letting my hair hang loose, cause of the strong wind.
"Is everything okay?"
I asked him when he reached the car. He was pissed of course, men and their ego.
"Just some boys driving reckless."
I turned around thinking that they were already gone, but I gasped when I saw those deep set of almond brown eyes. It was staring straight at me... he was staring straight at me, as if searching, peircing and opening up my soul.
