Surprised with his odd behavior, you retreated your hand away from him, even taking a step backward.

His voice was low which shamefully sends shivers runs down to your spine.

Not liking the fact that you knew where this conversation would lead to, you force your mind to come up with something, anything even-!

"Aha? Stop being funny. Since when I'm lying to you?"

You mentally cursed yourself for uttering out those unthoughtful foolishness words without any second thought, keeps chanting ' fool ', ' moron ' and ' idiot ' in your mind for your careless sentences. That would definitely be leading to uncovering the hidden lie.

"Y-You know what? Nevermind that-"

"If you are not lying . . ."He cut you off from saying any further with his voice darkened, "Then why don't you answer my question honestly, [Y/N]-nee?"

Kou threw his gaze down upon on the cold floor before lifting his gaze up to look into your [ color orbs ], his blue hues shone with an emotion of resentment and betrayal at the upcoming truth that was hidden from him for the entire time.

"You know about the fifth rumor, right . . . ? The white ones have records of people who are alive while the black ones are records of people who have died."He paused to swallow the lump between his throat and took a deep breath before continuing with his lips slightly quivering, "In that rumored library, I found your book . . ."

At this moment, deep at the bottom of your heart.
