"BABY!! BABY!!! No that's not it. " Kyoka's father was long haired individual who had the look of a rock star, though he was in actuality just a composer. Ben never sometimes could get over how over the top he could act at some points, but he was a good man nonetheless and actually quite easy going.
Kyoka's mother was a calm woman who had her daughter's black hair and earphone jacks coming from her earlobes, and not surprisingly she was the less over the top of the two.
From the time he was 10, Ben had gone to eat at the Jiro Household at least once a week, and just like how Kyoka had her own room at Ben's place, he had his own room at the Jiro residence too, it was funny how unexpected families sometimes became that way.
"Ben wash up quick, Kyoka says she's bringing some friends from your class over." said Mrs. Jiro as she set a few dishes on the center of the table.
Ben froze. "Wait, she's bringing guests!? er.. who?"
"Midoriya, Kaminari, Mineta, Uraraka and Iida-kun.. " said Mrs. Jiro. "I've got the extra food over here, just hurry up and wash your hands, and no less than 20 seconds under the water Ben.."
"I know I know.." Ben said. "That's something kids know Mrs. Jiro."
"Just making sure you remember that's all." said Mrs. Jiro with a smirk as Mr. Jiro continued to mutter to himself, looking over the musical notes he was writing and lyrics. "But this is quite unexpected, I wonder if there's a test coming up, are your classmates organizing a study group?"
"Not that I've heard of." Ben muttered.
About 10 minutes later, the door opened and Kyoka stepped through, followed by the mentioned people. "Tadaima!" (Japanese for 'I'm Home'. It is common household etiquette to say this every time you come home)
"Welcome home!" said Mrs. Jiro.
"Th-thank you for having us Mrs. Jiro!" said Midoriya, bowing hastily as the others did the same.
"mmmmmm...Jiro's mom is actually quite good looking.. but Jiro-san isn't nearly as lady-like.." murmured Mineta. "Maybe she inherited more of her father's traits.
"WHAP!!!!" Mineta fell face down as one of Kyoka's earphone jacks whacked him over the head like a violent whip.
"Everyone feel free to make yourselves at home, dinner will be ready in just a few moments!" said Mrs. Jiro cheerfully.
"Hi Tennyson-san!" said Ochaco enthusiastically. "Guess we're having dinner together!"
"Uh.. right.." said Ben, still very surprised at what was happening here. He gave Kyoka a questioning look, to which she just gave one of her usual lazy looking shrugs. "We thought we'd have a study group today, we suspect that Aizawa might be throwing out one of his famous pop quizzes, and you definitely don't wanna end up unprepared for those."
"Right." Ben said.
The dinner went by quickly in Ben's mind. He didn't pay all too much attention to what was said, and instead focused keenly on his Katsu and curry. He really didn't know what to make of this. He had the strange suspecting feeling that there was about to be some sort of intervention, or maybe some sort of pity party.
The only one that made sense was the Pity Party. Ben felt maybe he didn't do a good job at covering up his rather large amount discomfort from everyone not wanting to partner with him during the practical class, and at the same time, he wasn't sure there was anything about him that needed intervention at the moment. Then again, everybody who needed an intervention were never aware that they had a problem, hence why they needed an intervention.
