Meanwhile, James was battling Madness. The demonic wolf tried punching James but he countered by attaching his guns on the latter and activating jet mode, causing him to be flown onto a set of trees. James landed on the ground and got out an electronic device and pressed a detonate button. The guns self-destructed, causing a large explosion. James then called a new set of pistols, the set flying onto his hands with no effort. Dex landed right next to James. "Any luck on him?" He asked. James nodded no. "He's getting injured, but it doesn't faze him at all." The stick figure said. Madness rose up holding his right arm, which was covered in blood. Madness smiled and use the ruby to restore his arm to working condition. Suddenly, Gadget flew right behind Madness and put him in a choke hold. The red wolf set his gauntlet to burst and aimed at Madness, activating it instantly. Madness absorbed the flame and threw Gadget to the ground. Madness attempted to use Gadget's flames on him, but the latter got out the cube hammer and threw it right at his head. Madness suddenly raised his hand, unleashing a great shock wave on everyone. Kori quickly got everyone and put them in a force field to protect themselves. But behind Madness, the sky began to crack, revealing a black void. "What is he doing!?" Zero asked in shock. Madness let out an evil grin. "This is a place where nothing exists, and nothing can escape. Unless you want this entire planet to be absorbed, you must surrender." He said. Dex looked at Kori and signified something to her. Kori nodded in agreement, looking nervous. The force field was released. Dex walked over to Madness, a white aura forming around him. Madness was confused. Suddenly, Dex transformed into Kami. "I see your arrangement but let me offer this as a rebuttal." He said. Suddenly, Dex flew at an incredibly fast rate towards Madness, tackling him and causing the two to immediately fall inside the void. "DEX!" Kori yelled out. Dex and Madness fell inside and rolled after landing on the ground floor. Dex quickly got up and ran towards Madness, delivering an uppercut. Madness went and kicked Dex on the arm. The robloxian quickly punched Madness in the abdomen, then the head, and then the chest. Madness quickly struck Dex towards his heart, making him stumble a bit. When he looked up, Madness was charging up a large ball from the phantom ruby's power. Madness threw it. Dex tried to stop it from advancing, but the ball exploded upon impact, injuring him greatly. Madness smiled. "It looks like your time is up." He said. Dex was floating in the void, injured and near death. He opened his eyes and saw a light. He saw Gadget. "h-huh?" Dex groaned. "Come on Dex, you can't give up." Gadget said. "Everyone here is counting on you." Kori said. "The fate of our lives depends on what you do next!" Zero said. "I believe in you Dex, you've been through worse!" James said. "You can do this!" All four of them yelled out. Dex's eyes opened wide and he started glowing white again, but it was different this time. Dex flew up to Madness. Dex had an outline completely white, his body and clothing looked normal. Madness was astonished. "Well, this is new." He said. Dex just started walking to Madness, a ripple appearing from each step. "I intend to live forever" Dex said with an echo in his voice once again. He got out his pixel slicer and gave it power from his form. Wings suddenly formed on his back. "So far so good." He continued. Dex started hovering and flew to Madness at full speed. He delivered invisible blows that struck Madness on his chest. Dex appeared right behind the demon wolf and struck him 3 times on the head. He went back and kicked him right on the chin. Dex landed and fired a large blast. Madness tried blocking it but was still harmed. Madness flew at full speed towards Dex who grabbed the wolf by the hand. "Not going anywhere for a while?" He said. Madness tried striking Dex in the face, but he didn't move a muscle. "That's a shame." Dex said as he headbutted Madness. The demon wolf immediately fired a blast at Dex to distract him. Dex looked up and saw Madness holding a large cube. "You don't seem to realize." Madness said. "I am beyond all that is limiting, I attached myself onto this vessel and now I will absorb your power and take over this planet!" He continued. Dex was surprised. "Wait go back to what you just said, about the vessel." He said. Madness laughed and showcased the ruby. Dex realized. "So, I'm talking to the ruby and not the one using it." Dex said. Madness nodded to signify that was correct. "He doesn't even know what's happening to him right now." he continued. Dex got into a battle stance. "If I'm correct, what you're saying is that destroying you will cause him to go back to normal." He said as he clenched his fist. Madness smiled. "I suppose so, that is if you can get to me first!" He yelled as he threw the cube at Dex. Dex held the pixel slicer out, pointed at the cube and sliced it into pieces. Dex threw the pieces at Madness, distracting him enough to receive an elbow to the ruby, cracking it. Madness started to spaz out and suddenly fell. Dex landed in front of Madness. Dex just sighed and began to walk toward the way back. "H-help me..." he heard. Dex looked back and saw Madness holding his chest in pain. Dex's face went from calm to pure anger. "What do you mean help, after everything you did!?" Dex yelled out. Madness tilted his head up and the robloxian realized, it wasn't Madness. The black half of his face was completely normal and he was crying. "HELP ME!" He cried out. Dex was shocked. He saw the crack on the ruby. "You're not Madness anymore are you?" Dex asked. The wolf was confused. "Who's madness?" He asked, still crying. Dex walked over to the wolf and put his hand on his shoulder. "Ok Gadget." Dex said. The wolf looked up with tears in his eyes, "You know who I am?" He asked. Dex nodded. "That isn't important right now so listen to me. I think I know how to remove this." Dex said. The wolf was shocked. "You do?" He asked. Dex smiled and nodded. "Just hold still." Dex said as he grabbed the ruby and slowly started to pull it away from the wolf, using Kami to weaken the gem's grasp on its victim. Pink electric bolts were trying to keep the ruby attached. Dex removed it with all his might. The ruby started to move closer to Dex's chest. The robloxian, knowing that it would soon possess him got up, held the ruby up high and released a massive amount of power to his hand. "No more." He said as he crushed the ruby into dust. Dex fell to his knees, injured and out of breath. Suddenly, the void started to crack. The two looked at each other. The void exploded into a giant cloud. Everyone cheered. Dex was seen holding the wolf, still in his new form. The two landed on the ground. Dex sighed a breath of relief. "You did it!" Gadget said as he hugged Dex, the two almost falling to the ground. Zero looked at his universe's Gadget, and so did the others. Zero almost got the blade out but Dex stopped him and looked at him dead in the eye. "The ruby was controlling him, he had no idea any of this happened until now." He said as he was slowly reverting back to his base form. Zero's eyes widened and understood. Zero put his hand on the wolf. "It's all right, we'll help you." The jackal said. James walked over to Zero. "Wait, how will you get back home?" He asked. Zero got out the ruby prototype from before. "I think this is still functional, I have enough energy to get the two of us back to our world and hopefully repair it." The jackal continued. He focused his power and opened a portal to their universe. "Wait, you got here by teleportation which caused you to crash, why didn't you just use this?" Kori asked. "I didn't have much time, it was the only choice." Zero said. Kori blinked. "Oh ok." She said. As the two walked back, Zero gave a peace sign to Dex and the others. Dex did the same thing. "Good luck in your world Zero!" Gadget said. "Thank you for everything, goodbye everyone!" Zero said as they went inside, the portal closing behind them.
