4 of our 7 protagonists were outside, Gadget was fully healed after the events of Absolute Territory. While Dex, James, and Kori were trying to fix the car. "Wait we have different ways of transportation, why do we need a car?" James asked. Dex looked up at James. "Well the rest doesn't have air conditioning." He said. James nodded. "Fair point." The stick figure said. Kori was inside the car implementing a tv. Dex looked at the sylveon in confusion. "What?" She asked. "Make sure to add a dvd player too." Dex said. The two looked at each other with smug smiles, then proceeded to laugh. Gadget looked up and saw a bright light falling into the ground. "Hey, do you see that?" Gadget asked the three mechanics. the others saw the light. "A meteor maybe?" James asked. Dex looked closer. "It looks like a jacka- oh you've gotta be fu-" Dex couldn't finish due to the jackal falling right in front of them, causing a semi large crater. All four of them walked up to the incapacitated jackal. Dex got out his pixel slicer. "We already killed him twice, how does he ke-" James interrupted Dex by holding his hand in front of the latter. "That's not infinite." He said. Dex looked confused then got a better look at the jackal. "He's wearing your clothes and... There's no ruby on his body." Kori said to Gadget. Dex picked the jackal up and onto the bench next to them. The jackal started to wake up. "Huh?" He said looking to the four. "Are you ok?" Gadget asked. Suddenly, the jackal's eyes opened wide and he looked scared. He got up and tried to punch Gadget, but the wolf stopped him dead in his tracks and caught his fist. "What the?" James said still surprised at the sudden situation. "You! You killed everybody!" The jackal yelled out with tears in his eyes. Dex looked at the jackal. "Calm down! Who are you talking about?" Dex asked. The jackal looked around and then realized. "Oh right... different universe." He said. The jackal then bowed down in front of the three. "Forgive me for my ambush!" He said. Dex looked at Gadget with an extremely confused look. Gadget just shrugged, also confused. The jackal got up. "Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Zero." he said. Kori tapped Dex's shoulder. "He kinda cute." She said. Dex just had a worried look. "Let's hope his personality is good then." He said. Zero continued. "I came here from a different universe for help." Dex was confused. "Wait, what do you need help for?" He asked. Zero sighed. "Where I'm from, there's an entity named Madness the Dark Wolf. He looks like your friend to your left. He's caused countless deaths. That's why I tried to attack him." He said pointing at Gadget. The red wolf looked surprised. "There's not much time left. I need you, all of you." Zero said. Dex nodded. "We'll do our best, Madness won't have his way with us." he said. Zero smiled. "Thank you." He said. Suddenly, a demonic sound was heard. A portal opened above and behind them.
