"Good morning sweetie. Hurry up and get ready."
"Morning Mom." I pass my mom as I leave the bathroom and walk into my neat bedroom that smells like the pine tree scented candles I lit yesterday. I slip on a black skater skirt over tan stockings and tuck in my pale blue long sleeve button down over my nude bra. I sit at my vanity and pull my long blonde hair into a fishtail. I apply a small amount of concealer and mascara then I grab my bag and phone and head downstairs.
"Good morning pumpkin. Have a good sleep?" My dad looks up from his newspaper.
"Yes, thank you." I reply.
"Ready for that big math test?"
"As always Dad." I give a weak, but convincing smile and grab an apple from the counter and run it under the cool sink water. "I'm going to get going, I want to get to school early."
"Don't forget your track bag on the way out." My mom walks into the kitchen and kisses my forehead. "Have a nice day. Oh and don't forget your protein shake. She reaches into the fridge and pulls out the unappetizing concoction.
"Thanks Mom love you. Bye Dad love you too." I walk to the front door, grabbing my gym bag and keys and head to my car.
