"hey hey, it's okay. everything's gonna be fine," hyunjin had been whispering comforting words as he rubs circles behind minho's back. minho seems so fragile and delicate when he's sad, so hyunjin have always had the urge to protect the older.

minho wasn't some kind of guy you could mess with. he may seem cool and strong on the outside, but he's very sensitive on the inside. especially with his feelings.

in his group of friends, minho is known to be very honest and trustworthy, since he never broke any promises. so when he's trustworthy, he expects everyone around him to be honest as well.

he could never adapt in a situation where someone broke their promise or broke his trust. he had developed major trust issues when he found out that his ex best friend had betrayed him back in middle school.

his best friend, who was also known as junsoo was acting so nice towards him, and he was his only friend in middle school back then. so when he first approached minho, minho had already feel attached to him.

but as time went by, rumours about minho went wild in school. rumours about him stealing money, disrespecting teachers and even bully, but none of them were true. he had no idea who spread all the bullshits about him, but until then, no one approached him.

he was left alone, even junsoo didn't talk to him. right before he left school, he found out that junsoo was the one that spread all the fake rumours about him. he never felt so betrayed in his life, and that's when his major trust issues started.

when his friends in high school, including hyunjin and seungmin knows about his condition, they have made their mind to not broke minho's trust, ever.

but seeing how broken he felt when he found out jaeho, or jisung to be accurate, had betrayed him by lying to him and faking his identity, hyunjin had never felt so bad for the older in his life.

minho wasn't eating, he refused to get out of bed, he didn't want to talk to anyone except when he absolutely needs to and turned off his phone for days. no one could contact him.

but fortunately, he had a second phone where hyunjin and seungmin can contact him just in case of an emergency. he could never express how thankful he is for having both his close friends with him during his terrible break downs.

currently, hyunjin had been comforting minho whose in his bed, still sobbing rapidly. seungmin is in the kitchen, trying to make something for minho to actually eat.

"hey, i know you're sad and disappointed about all of this, but there must be a reason for everything," since hyunjin finally understood the situation after jisung texted him, he finally can comfort minho with actual understanding.

minho didn't respond, he stayed still inside hyunjin's embrace and let the younger continue.

"jisung might have his own reasons, and he never really knew you had trust issues. i'm pretty sure if he knew, he would never lie to you in the first place,"

"but i loved him as jaeho, hyun," minho mumbled, but clearly heard by hyunjin. the younger had a sad smile on his face when he heard what he said.

"i know you did, but jisung is jaeho. and jaeho is jisung. they're the same person. so if you love jaeho, then that only means you love jisung too," hyunjin said softly.

minho started sobbing again, his eyes started to dwell up again. he could never keep his mind away from anything at this moment. nothing could make him calm down and he is desperate for a good night sleep.

"but how could you know that he's not faking his personality through text as well?" minho said in between sobs. he can't trust people so easily, not this time.

"do you think his texts feel genuine and sincere?"

minho went silent. what hyunjin said made him think hard, and he was sure that jisung texts were most definitely genuine. but he didn't want to say it, not now at least.

"how would i know?" he asked.

"only you would now that, min. you're the one who's been talking to him all this time. only you could tell how fake or genuine someone is by the way they chat with you,"

no matter how much he thinks about it, hyunjin is right. the more he thinks about it, the more tired he gets. slowly but surely, his eyes started to close itself and minho drifted off to a deep tiring slumber.

hyunjin took a peek at minho on his right shoulder to see him sleeping. he looked terrible, his eyes are sore, his face seems a bit puffy and his hair is a complete mess.

a knock was heard on the door followed by the door being opened by seungmin with a food tray in his hand. but seeing minho sleeping made him a bit sad since minho will probably not eat the food he made.

hyunjin saw seungmin frown and chuckled. he put minho's head back on the pillow and called seungmin to come closer and sit in front of him. the younger slowly walked, the frown still not leaving his face.

hyunjin took the tray and put it on the bedside table and continued to look at seungmin in the eyes. he smiled fondly and gave seungmin a little peck on the lips. when he pulled back, seungmin frown had turned upside down and he was a blushing mess.

"don't worry, we can keep the food for him tomorrow, okay? for now, we need to eat too," hyunjin said softly, still caressing seungmin's cheeks. the latter just leaned into his touch and nodded.

they left the room with the food tray after turning the lights off and minho was left alone in the room, his mind still occupied with the thoughts of jisung.
