"m-minho hyung, i'm s-so s-sorry,"

minho froze. he know that voice too well. the voice of a boy that caught his heart every time he hear it. and also the voice of someone who had a special place in his heart.

han jisung.

when minho looked up to see jisung, the younger had a hard time making any eye contact. his eyes were closed and his head was down. minho could see a single drop of tear rolling down his left cheek.

minho felt bad. he never meant to make jisung cry because of him. he had realised it wasn't jisung's fault when he messaged him yesterday. honestly, he was the one to blame.

he promised to treat jisung the same despite who he was, but he broke it. it was the first promise that he didn't realised he had broke. he wanted to meet jisung to apologise, but his mouth went tight shut when he saw jisung.

"sit," minho said slowly as he scoots over to let jisung sit beside him on the stairs. jisung was startled by the response, but obeyed nonetheless.

both were silent for quite some time, thinking of their own mistakes with each other. but none of them knew how the other was suffering from haunting pasts just like themselves.

jisung felt terrible for what he did to minho. he shouldn't have lied to him in the first place. he didn't know how sensitive minho is, but if he did he would've never done it. he knows how painful it is to be betrayed, and he was regretful for repeating the same mistake with another loved one.

minho on the other side felt disappointed in himself. he never broke a promise, and he can never forgive himself for it. he thought jisung must've felt so angry but didn't show it. the older couldn't help but let his own tears fall onto the back of his hand.

minho can't hold it anymore. he feels so guilty towards jisung to the point of thinking that jisung hates him. he couldn't let the younger hate him, he loves him too much to let him do that.

minho bravely turned towards jisung and hold both jisung's hands in his. the younger's hands were freezing and minho felt bad for letting him walk all the way here to meet him in the cold weather.

the younger went wide-eyed when he realized what's happening. he immediately looks up to face minho and what he saw made him want to cry even more.

minho had tears flowing non-stop on his cheeks. his mouth was quivering with a frown. and his eyes. his eyes held so many emotions. there are pain, sorrow and even anger but jisung could never understand what's going on with his mind right now.

"i'm the o-one to blame jisung. y-you did nothing wrong. i was being v-very s-selfish. i s-shouldn't have broken the promise i made with you. i'm truly a disappointment, p-please forgive me,"

minho was holding onto jisung's hands tightly as he let it all out. he squeezed his eyes shut, letting all the tears out. his heart felt more lighter when he apologised and he felt like a burden had been lifted off his shoulder. but his heart still clenched when he thought that jisung would never forgive him.

jisung on the other side also broke into more tears than he had ever did before. who cares if he's ugly crying, he's dealing with his love life and no one could interfere with that.

he now understood why hyunjin told him minho needs hyunjin that one time. even he has the urge to protect minho at all cost if this is who he is. so to fulfil it, he let go of minho's small hands and embraced him into a warm and comforting hug.

sobs still lasted between the two, but both of them could feel each other calm down slowly. minho hasn't even hug jisung back, but the younger didn't mind it. he understands minho was too tired.

"hyung, it's never your fault. i'm sorry for lying to you all this time. i never knew you would react like this, but i should've expected it at least. i didn't think about your feelings and i am terribly sorry for that. i'm the one at fault here, not you." jisung said calmly, but tears were still visible on his cheeks.

"no, no jisung. that's not true. i should've understood why you lied to me. it's for your own safety. i should have not reacted like that, it was so childish and selfish of me. i also said i would treat you the same after i found out who you are, but i went against it and that's a horrible thing to do. you must've been so betrayed, please forgive me," minho replied fast. he didn't want to hear another word from jisung except that he accept his apologies.

jisung heart softens. he pulled away from the hug and looked at minho right in the eyes. minho looked so delicate and jisung just wanted to make sure that he's alright. it's painful to watch him like this.

"fine, if that's what you want, i'll forgive you. but will you please forgive me too?"

minho felt the corners of his mouth slowly but surely turning into a smile as he nodded. he never felt happier in his life. him and jisung are finally on good terms and they can go back to where they used to be.

jisung returned minho's smile, letting the butterflies in his stomach flutter. he never knew meeting minho in person for the second time would make him feel just like the first time he met him during the fan meet.

"minho? the break time is up!"

both boys could hear a deep voice from the corner, preferably from felix. they snapped out from their trance and minho just awkwardly stood up.

"i should get going," he said as his head faced down, not making any eye contact with jisung. he was embarrassed to have let their moment be interrupted, but it didn't bother jisung at all.

"okay," jisung paused before continuing, "are you free later, though?" he asked hopefully getting the right answer from the older.

minho blushed but nodded nonetheless. "okay then, i'll pick you up?" jisung just smiled when minho responded with an okay and showed seven fingers to tell him the time to pick him up as he made his way into one of the dance studio room.

as the door closed, jisung giggled like crazy. he never expected for a good outcome today. he thought the older would still hold a grudge on him but luck was on both their side and jisung could never be happier.

when minho entered the room and closed the door behind him, he had the same reaction as jisung. but sadly it got interrupted by felix scaring him which made him jump.

"what the hell was that for?" he asked, clearly mad at felix.

"you were smiling and giggling like a dork, what do you expect i would do?" felix said before a smirk grew on his face, "what happened out there anyway?" he continued.

minho pushed felix away and walked off, smiling.

but felix didn't need to know that.

hope you like this chapter because it was loooooonger than i expected. and i'm telling you guys rn they're definitely a switch in this book. i didn't even realised that lmao.

and yess i suck at angst and this is probably the end of the drama in this book because it's ending soon ;-;
