I was curled up on my bed. Mum said I was being melodramatic. She said that I shouldn't cry over a boy band, not matter how popular they are. But it's the way she said it that made me question her. It sounded like she was disappointed in herself. Mum had never given up on a case.

Ugh! I need Jade. Where was she?

School had finished weeks ago, and knowing Jade she'd be going to concerts all she could. I hung my head in frustration. If mum couldn't do this there's no way on earth that I could do it. Funny thing was though...it felt like I was in hell.

"Taylor! Come downstairs! Now!" Mum ordered. No 'please', no 'sweetie'.

I followed her command and trudged down the stairs.

"What?" I said flatly. I looked her dead in the eyes.

She scoffed and turned away. Only to turn back and scold me.

"Taylor Amber Roberts, you are grounded for a month. No boys, no friends, no TV and no phone."

What! She couldn't be serious? No phone? I gave her a death glare and stomped off. Mum and I never fought, not like this.

Sleep had left the building around 1:00am and the whole 'no phone' thing was a bitch. A lightbulb went off in my head and I scrambled under my bed. "Thank god!" I say as I brushed the dust off my old Dell laptop. I dragged the computer and myself out from under the bed. I opened it and placed it on my bed. It made a loud 'Ding' noise as it turned on.

"Taylor? I'm going out to grab a couple things for dinner. Anything you need?" Mum called out but I could hear her walking upstairs to my room. I rushed into my bathroom, bringing my computer and it's charger with me. "Honey are you feeling ok?" She questioned. A couple taps at the bathroom door.

"Yeah mum just had a bad lunch." I tried to sound sick. I heard faint footsteps leave my room. Oh sweet freedom. I typed in my password. Forgetting it for a moment. 'LarryIsBae'. I chuckled a bit. Jade had come up with it.

After I got back on track Facebook seemed to be the easiest communication device. "Kate, Kate, Kate. Ah. Ok then Kate. Let's see what you know." My fingers adjusted slightly to computer typing again.

'Heyy. Look I know that I haven't been particularly nice to you...like ever...but I think you and I could help each other out.'

I clicked send and a swoosh noise was made. Home alone. Internet. And what else... Oh. Food! Duh.

It'd been 3 hours and no reply. She hadn't even seen it yet. I was tempted to see if my phone was downstairs but knowing my mother, she would've taken it with her. The home phone was still active though. Crap, I never memorised any numbers. Ugh! I could tweet Harry.

"@Harrystyles call this number: 5559172"

My computer 'ding'ed and he replied a thumbs up emoji. A few seconds later the home phone rang it's annoying tune. I grabbed it off my bedside table.

"Hello?" I said, full knowing that it would be Harry but it never hurt to be cautious.

"Hey Love, it's me Harry. Something bad happened." He sounded disappointed and upset. I could hear muffled cries in the background.

"What? What happened? Is everything ok?" My voice sounded panicked.

"Bri said stuff to Zayn and no one but her knows what went down but he left. He said that he was done and he left. Niall is freaking out. Liam is mumbling someone's name under his breath and I have no clue what to do. I'm so sorry for all this Taylor." Harry choked out.

"Harry put Bri on the phone." I said coldly. Harry sniffed and the tone of the conversation changed completely.

"Listen, Bri, everything you said to Zayn, you're gonna say it to me. Now tell me." I said harshly. I was angry and it was obvious.

"Well hi to you too little Miss Skank." She spat.

"Excuse you?"

"What ever. All I said was that you're cheating on him. He got angry then kissed me. Then Harry stepped in and well you know the rest." God how I hated her. I heard keys rattling from downstairs.

"Taylor, I'm home!" Mom called from downstairs. I internally freaked out. She'd kill me if she saw that I disobeyed her.

"Is that you, Taylor?" Liam? The phone crackled and clicked. Dial tone. I scrambled to put the phone back. Mom snatched the phone away. She gave me a disappointed look.

"Someone's at the door. You have 10 minutes." She placed the phone back and controlled her anger. She walked into her room and slammed the door. Making me jump. I trotted downstairs. The front door was slightly ajar. I opened it fully and Kate was standing there.

"What are you doing here?" I asked. The question came out with more venom than intended. She was standing there in ripped jeans and our school p.e shirt.

"I can't tell you exactly. Otherwise she'd know. But I was there." She was about to say so thing else but her phone buzzed. Kate looked terrified to hear her phone. "I have to go." She said. And left.

People need to stop with the cryptic.

I heard mom walk into the lounge room and turn the TV on. There was no way I was walking in there. I stormed past the lounge room door, making my presence known.

"I'll be in my room." I shouted at the door. There was no response. I don't know why I expected one.

I sprawl out on my bed and close my eyes. I needed a nap.

I woke with a start and looked at my window.

Tink. Tink.

"Taylor."

Tink. Tink. Tink.

"Taylor?" I sat up and peered out my window. I slid my window open when I saw what- who- it was.

"Shh. You're going to wake up my mom. What are you even doing here?" I said in a hushed voice.

"I couldn't think straight. I haven't been sleeping well either. I kept thinking of you." He pulled out a crumpled piece of paper from his back pocket. "Louis and I had been working on it for a while before he disappeared. He started to sing.

"Her Kisses like cream. Her walk is so mean. And every jaw drop when she's in those jeans, Alright. I don't exist if I don't have her. The sun doesn't shine, the world doesn't turn, Alright." He sung softly.

"Liam, I don't understand." I whispered.

"Then let me show you." He said. I got goosebumps up my arms and he started to clump the drain pipe.

"Liam, what are you-" I giggled.

He rolled onto my bed and stood up frantically.

"I haven't been sleeping well. I've been thing about you too much. When you were with Zayn I hated myself. When you kicked me in the balls it hurt. A lot. But somehow I can't get you out of my head." He looked me in the eyes and embraced me. When he pulled back he started singing again. "People say, we shouldn't be together, too young, to know about forever. But I say that they don't know what they're takin' about." He stopped singing and kissed me. It wasn't like when Zayn kissed me. With Zayn it was more tame. When Liam kissed me I saw colours and fireworks. I got goosebumps up and down my arms. It was perfect.

"You have to go." I said, pulling away. An array of confusion swept over him

"But-" he tried to say. He nodded in understanding and climbed back down the pipe. "

He said goodbye in the strangest way: "Good night, good night! parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow." He said and faded into the night.
