The morning is slow, because we slept in until 11, and now I'm trying to find our fake ID's among the crap in my backpack.
When I find it I bring it into the living room; MJ's not impressed, but there's still hope for her. Or me, depending on what you're hoping for.
I pass her her ID, which says her name is Mary-Jane Stacey,
"Hey, I can legally buy Vodka according to this. I guess I'm 22 now."
My name's been changed to Thomas Browns, which is probably the least imaginative last name ever, and I'm 22 too now.
"We're going to have to take some sort of online high school classes; since I wanna finish some sort of formal education ."
The cards came with a list of instructions, written by Ned because he's into that sort of stuff, I don't know how 'cause it all sounds super boring, and a list of things to do.
Some of which sound kinda (really) illegal.
And of course MJ finds a couple flaws in the plan immediately, so she starts to rewrite those parts while I try to install Karen and Edith in the smart speakers I bought a while ago.
After a couple hours I finish that and have them hidden around the apartment, along with a couple cameras. Discreetly, of course, because I can't wait to scare MJ out of her mind by...doing something I haven't thought of yet.
Dinner today is a gourmet meal compared to yesterday; stale crackers and cheese.
We're going to need jobs if we're going to be taking courses and not-starving.
Is this what being an adult feels like? 'Cause I hate it.
"Edith, are there any jobs that MJ or I could do? That we've got the ability to do?"
"There is a part-time paid art internship for Miss. Jones. And a coffee shop nearby looking for employees. Though I would recommend changing both your appearances."
I'm not getting plastic surgery, that's never going to happen; I don't want the money and I don't want to. If we wear different styles of clothes & cut our hair we could look really different. So maybe we'll do that?
Time Skip *('cause I'm sure you don't want me to describe their transformation in detail)*
MJ comes out of the bathroom, and for a second I don't recognize her. Then the common sense kicks in.
"Wow, MJ, you look different. It's weird."
She cut her hair, and it's a lot bigger now because of the curls. And she's wearing a yellow tee-shirt and ripped blue jeans, so... not her usual style.
I got changed a bit earlier, donning glasses (my old ones, that I got before the spider decided to have something a hundred times it's size for dinner; I just popped out the glass) and I'm wearing a red flannel and another pair of ripped blue jeans. In short; I look waaayyyy too hippie-like for my comfort. Actually scratch that; the clothes are comfortable, just not at all my style.
