After a twenty-minute drive, Emma and I finally arrived at the McKing’s. Damn, that’s a huge house! Our house probably isn’t even half of it! It’s so huge and, like, only three people live in there. Well, maybe there are housemaids or a butler and a driver and stuff like that. Man, I’d give anything to have my own butler. Having a butler would be so nice. I wouldn’t have to do my chores and I could just ask him whenever I need something. Sigh, how I wish.

But tonight the house (or should I say manor?) is full. There were different kinds of cars and trucks parked on the street in front of the house and across the house. I wonder how Jeremy’s neighbors feel about all this. Maybe they’re invited too so that they won’t complain. Or maybe even bribed so they won’t call the cops or something.

“Come on, let’s go!” Emma said so excited that she’s shaking like a Chihuahua. Why is she shaking? I should be the one shaking with my excitement (and nervousness) here! This is my first party EVER! I still can’t contain the happiness inside of me because of the fact that I’m disobeying Natasha’s orders and I’m here at my first party ever and that it’s Jeremy McKing’s party! I could just scream! But I probably shouldn’t ‘cause that would be so eembarassssinnngg.

Before I got out of the mini cooper I strapped on my fake angel wings. The straps are like these thick, transparent straps that girls use when they don’t want to wear a strapless bra but they’re wearing a strapless top. I hate it. Not that I’m complaing (okay, maybe I am) but it’s so tight and itchy and it’s not even adjustable. Oh well, a girl’s gottta do what a girl’s gotta do.

“Emma these straps are so tight,” I complained to Emma.

“I’m not the one wearing it so, meh,” she headed to the door when I noticed that something wasn’t right about her costume.

“Hey where’s your wand?” I curiously asked.

“Wand? What wand? I ain’t got no wand.”

“Yeah, you don’t have a wand. How can you be a witch without a wand? How can people figure out what you are without a wand? A wand plays a very huge role in a witch’s costume, Emma. Do you even know what a wand is?” I said like a scandalized mean girl. What? I’m a Potterhead. You can’t be a witch without a wand, every Potterhead knows that. Maybe she’s just a plain muggle. Oh, muggles.

She rolled her eyes and started going back down the steps and headed to a tree. She picked up something long and I heard a snap. When she came back she was holding a thick twig.

“Now I’ve got a wand,” she said and she pushed open the door.

When I said that the house was big outside it even seemed bigger inside. The living room (I think it’s the living room) was massive and absolutely crowded with various creatures. Creatures like vampires, zombies, devils, and slutty policewomen.

It was so cool!

The Halloween decorations were even cooler. There weren’t those crappy pumpkin streamers but dry ice in cauldrons (so Potter!) and bloody (hopefully it isn’t real blood) candles, bloody shackles on the walls and fake severed heads. I so did not expect things to be like this! It’s like I’m in one of those haunted houses in theme parks but hopefully no one will come out screaming with an electric saw.

“This is the coolest thing ever!” I told Emma. She seemed to be looking for somebody. She kept standing on her tiptoes and she’s already wearing heels! Now she seems taller than me. Oh, poo.

“Yeah, and you have the coolest costume ever.” She replied still not looking at me.

I looked around me and saw über cool costumes and there are people just wearing black but they still looked cool in it. God, I look like I’m going to church compared to these guys.
