The Other Batson

You could say Billy Batson has had a few strange events happen lately, but this newest one he never expected. First he loses his memory causing him to lose his power, only to be earth swapped with his doppelgänger when his memory returned. This let Billy know that the multiverse that Freddy talked about theories of was actually real...great something else to blab about. But even though it was true, he nearly lost Freddy in the process and had to literally go into his mind to free him. The two of them had just got done with talking to his doppelgänger before he left their earth.

As they walked home they talked about what happened...well Freddy talked. Billy was lost in thought about what happened. Meeting his doppelgänger...finding out the multiverse exists...not to mention what happened in Freddy's mind world. A few hours later Billy and Freddy got home and saw everyone was gathered in the living.

"Last time this happened I was skipping school." Billy whispered to Freddy. "What happened this time?" He asked. Freddy shrugged. "Uh kids...we have a new family member." The mother said. Just then a boy looking exactly like Billy stepped into the room with jeans and a leather jacket. Mary immediately noticed a mark on his wrist and remembered the person who saved her and Darci.

"My name is Cameron...Cameron Batson." The boy said before looking at Billy. "Your twin brother." He said to him. Everyone went silent and then Freddy looked at Billy wide eyed. "You have a twin?!" He asked. Billy looked at Cameron in confusion. "I-uh...don't even remember having a sibling." He said.

But there was another thought in his mind. He heard about Cameron in Freddy's mind world. How would he know about him? "Well it's definitely been a while since we saw each other." Cameron said. Billy looked at him in loss for words. "That's true...I guess." He said. "Well we have to get some stuff ready for Cameron to go to school with you guys soon." His foster mom said as she and their foster father started to leave. "Should give you two time to reconnect." She said to Billy and Cameron before they left.

"Wait so how did they even find out about you?" Freddy asked. "It was sort of a misunderstanding." Cameron explained. "I got in a bit of trouble with some cops and when they caught me they immediately assumed I was Billy." He said. He went onto explain that the officers didn't believe when he said his real name until the foster parents showed up.

"Despite us looking exactly the same they knew something was off." He said. "Other than clothing you might wanna be more specific." Freddy said. Just then a news alert came on. "Reports are surfacing that the Enchantress has re-emerged and is on the attack." The reporter said. "Hang on didn't some psycho group deal with her." Freddy asked. "Suicide Squad, yeah but then again she is magic based." Cameron explained. "How did you?" Freddy started to ask before Billy started leaving.

Cameron followed him in confusion. "Billy what're you doing?" He asked. "I need to go out and get something." Billy replied. Freddy looked at them. "You need to tell him." He said. Billy shook his head. "There's no time." Billy said before rushing out the door. Cameron caught in time to watch him transform. "Shazam!" Billy shouted before the lightning bolt struck him and transformed him into his superhero form and fly off. Cameron's eyes flashed electric blue and he suddenly started going a similar direction.

As Shazam neared the site he started noticing the mystic energies getting stronger. "Definitely the place." He said landing on the location. People were running in every direction as they tried to escape the villain. "So the big man finally arrives." She said. "Or are you just a boy in a costume?" She asked with a smirk. Shazam looked at her. "Why not come find out lady?" He asked getting ready to fight.

As he started to get a lightning attack ready, Enchantress waved her hand, causing it to vanish. She then blasted a strange magic that made his eyes glow green while he was stuck in place. "I know what you're seeing Billy Batson." She told him. "A life with your family without the power you hold." She added. "A life without..." She said with a pause. "Shazam." Billy said calmly. A lightning strike hit and transformed him back to normal and breaking him out of the trance. He realized what happened and started to transform back but Enchantress was using her magic to stop him.

Just then three drones randomly appeared and started firing at Enchantress. Billy turned to see someone with glowing electric blue eyes, it was Cameron. "Stay away from my brother!" Cameron ordered before using the drones to continue attacking. Enchantress used her telekinesis to take the drones and smash them into a ball and placed it into her hands.

"Should've had a backup plan." She said with a smirk. "Actually." Cameron said with his eyes normal. "That's exactly what I planned." He added. Cameron's eyes glowed once again and the wires of the drones wrapped around Enchantress.

"Get her away from the city." Cameron told Billy, who immediately transformed into Shazam. Shazam grabbed Enchantress and flew her into the air. "What just happened?" Shazam asked. "Just a little further." He heard Cameron day from the drones as they started glowing brightly. "Now!" He shouted.

Billy threw Enchantress into the air as an explosion appeared from the drones. "You placed a bomb on her?!" Shazam asked in alarm as he arrived back where Cameron was. "I did what you couldn't." Cameron said. "That's not the point Cameron, you have powers." He said before pausing to make sense of what happened. "What happened to you?" He asked. "We're brothers right?" He asked once again. "So why weren't we around each other?"

Cameron was back to normal and shrugged. "Unlike you I kept running." He said. "There's a lot you don't know about me." He said before walking off. "See you at home." He said walking away as Shazam watched him confused. He felt like he was hiding something, kinda like when he arrived himself. But what would he have to hide about himself?
