March 27, New Orleans, Louisiana
Winter sat on the couch watching old videos of him and Kairen. Kairen stared at Winter in adornment while she rubbed her four month pregnant stomach.
"Winter stop splashing me! I don't wanna get my hair wet." She whined.
"Shut up. You in a pool. Why would you get in a pool knowing you're about to get wet". Winter countered.
Kairen rolled her eyes and continued to eat her fruits and rubbed stomach. Winter stared at Kairen and every emotion flowed through him. He saw himself getting old with her. Having all his kids by her. Dying with her. He saw all of that.
"Kairen?" Winter called.
"Hmm" she replied
"My love for you is unconditional. I ain't never letting you go and that's on my dead grandma" Winter promised.
Kairen smiled and nodded. She obviously appreciated the love and affection that was given to her by Winter. She knew one day they would get it right.
The twins kicked and moved while Winter kissed and talked to them. Winter turned to see Michelle recording them
"Momma stop recording us. We trynna have family time" Winter laughed.
Michelle laughed then cut off the camera.
Winter had a big kool aid smile as he looked at the ended video. He never would've thought his carelessness would've costed the love of his life to fall into the arms of another and get her killed. Never.
If he would've just listened to his heart instead of his ego Kairen would've still been with him. They would had more kids. Gotten married. His ego and attitude caused him to change for the worst.
His doorbell rung causing him to snap out his though and get up. He opened the door and came face to face with a women.
"Uh how can I help you?" Winter asked confused as to why she was here.
