"Aries" A voice whispers.
I shift and turn on my stomach.
"Aries, I know you can hear me". I feel an icy breath up against the back of my neck and my eyes flutter open.
"Zodius needs you. Everyone needs you. You have to stop Mortis. Gather your team". Something rubbed my back and my reflexes caused me to grab the knife resting under my pillow in defence. I glance around my room, my heart rate speeding up as I see nothing.
Absolutely nothing.

"You look like shit"
"I feel like shit" I replied, rolling my eyes as I shot the arrow right in the bullseye.
"We should take a break. We can go down to the river for a swim. Might even see a couple of ladies down there"
"Leo, I'm fine. I don't need a break. I just went to bed late, that's all". I assured him as I fired another arrow.
"Well I-" The doors burst open, the old squeaking hinges feels like needles being stabbed into my ears.
"Prince Aries, apologies for the interruption but you are needed by your father in the Great Hall. An important manner is to be discussed" he said in a hurry.
I drop my bow and arrow and am lead to the Great Hall along with Leo.
Father is waiting there for me. The dreaded look in his eyes concern me, I figured that the situation wasn't going to be good.
"Thank you, everyone for gathering here with me" Father says and I look around the room. Townspeople, maids, chefs, farmers, the elderly and even children were gathered here in the Great Hall.
"I am here to discuss a very serious situation and I need your full attention. Zodius is under attack by an evil entity from the darkened lands, who goes by the name Mortis"
Gasps and worried comments were made. My shoulders tensed.
Mortis? Where have I heard that name?
"The attack has started in Avalon, the Earth Kingdom. Darkness is slowly devouring their land, all their trees and homes are being destroyed. Mortis has created some sort of shadow army. We have had few sightings of them, but we know they are strong and hard to kill. All four kingdoms are preparing for the worst. That will be all for today" my father dropped his head and sighed.
I look at Leo who was standing next to me. His face looked calm and stoic, but I could see the panic in his eyes.

I returned to my bed chambers, ready for another nights rest.
My eyes feel heavy as my head hits my pillow, eventually closing.
"Aries"
