"It's been two whole days Bonnie! Why isn't she awake yet?" Caroline cries to her, staring at Elena's dead body in her bed
"I don't know Caroline! I've been going through the grimoire's and they don't say anything!" the witch yells frustrated "Everyone's been up my ass making it seem like i'm not try but I am! Elena's my best friend too you know!"
Elena sighs watching her two best friends fight "Bonnie will figure something out Care, it's okay" she says even though no one can hear her.
There's a knock on the door, "Come in" the witch says. Stefan walks in looking at the two girls and then the body on the bed, putting his head down heart broken.
"Still nothing? What are we going to do.. everyone is down stairs waiting for her to wake up" Stefan mumbles
Bonnie looks at Stefan and breaks down "I- I have no idea what to do guys, I don't have enough magic to just bring her back from the dead! I don't know why the elixir didn't work there's nothing here!" she sobs throwing grimoires off the bed one after the other.
Damon flies into the room hearing their conversation from the kitchen, "She's going to wake up! She's not dead! Just recharge your witchy powers and bring her back Bonnie she can't be dead!" he roars at the witch
Everyone from the kitchen runs upstairs hearing the loud sounds coming from Elena's room.
Alaric grabs Damon by the collar pushing him back "You need to calm down! She's trying her best! You're not the only one who lost someone Damon, now walk it off!" he yells in the vampires face.
"Get off me Ric!" Damon seethes, storming out of the room and out the front door.
Matt rushes to Bonnie and pulls her into a hug "shh calm down" he whispers into her ear, rubbing slow circles on her back trying to sooth her.
Jeremy is stock still standing just inside the room, staring at his sisters unmoving body, "She's.. she's not coming back.. is she" he whispers as tears stream down his face
Elena watches her brother break into a million pieces as it finally clicks together.. she's really dead.
"Jer.. I am so sorry.. It'll be okay, I'll find a way to come back! I promise! You won't be alone forever.. I love you Jeremy" Elena sobs as her brothers feet
Everyone sees Jeremy falling apart completely oblivious to their friend on the grounds crying and screaming. "we'll figure something out Jer.. we're gonna get her back" Bonnie promises
They all nod their heads and hug each other as they mourn the temporary loss of Elena, when Alaric freezes stepping back from everyone. The group looks at him, confused.
"What is it Ric?" Matt questions
"What.. uh are we gonna do with her.. body until she wakes up?" he asks staring at them all "She'll gonna start to de- decompose soon"
Everyone looks at each other unsure of what to do, until Bonnie steps forwards speaking up, "I can do a spell to.. stop her body from decomposing, and we can keep her at the witch house; they'll protect her from anything that could harm her.."
Looking at the witch, they all nod their heads agreeing.
"Now lets start looking for ways to bring her back, we're not giving up! Stefan, you fill Damon in on whats going down, and then contact everyone you've met over the years that you think might know anything that could help us. Ric same to you, get in touch with Isabelle's old colleague's and get them to pull up anything they can find that could help even the smallest thing." Bonnie commands
The two nods their heads and leave.
"Care I want you to help me move Elena to the witch house, Jer and Matt I want you guys to bring the grimoires for me and help me go through them, see if maybe I missed anything" she says as she gathers up some of Elena's belonging
"Okay, no problem" Caroline replies and then picks up Elena's body; speeding off to the house
"No problem Bonnie, but why are you taking some of Elena's things?" the young Gilbert boy asks as he starts picking up grimoires along side Matt
"Because if we find a spell it might call for something personal to her, and we might be able to try and contact her with some of her stuff" she replies hopeful
Matt grabs the last grimoire and they all head down to Bonnie's car, piling the books in the trunk. Bonnie gets in the drivers seat, and as the two boys jump in she turns and looks at them, "Now lets figure out how to get Elena back" she says with determination
Both boys nod as then she starts the engine and then make their way to the witch house. When they get there they carry everything in and see Caroline brought a couch down to the basement to lay Elena on and put a blanket over her in the corner of the room.
"Is this okay" the blonde vampire questions
"Yes, it's fine, set all the books in the centre of the room and lets get to work" Bonnie replies
