Who is he?

Elena led the man up the stairs of Alaric's apartment building till she came to his door, turning she looked at him in the eyes, "Go on, open the door and see who's inside darling" she said mocking his accent.

The man glowered at her and went to the door, walking through it instead of opening it, Elena followed and watched him freeze as soon as he seen who was behind the door. Katherine Pierce sitting on the couch with a bottle of bourbon in her hand.

He stood there looking back and forth between her and Katherine in shock then finally spoke up, "This is impossible.. Katerina never had children before she turned. What's going on here? What kind of witchcraft is this?!"  he questioned not understanding how it was possible for Elena to exist.

She sighed and rolled her eyes looking at the man before her and leaned against the counter.

"Before Katherine turned and before she met the originals, she lived in Bulgaria but had a child out of wedlock when she was seventeen. Her family gave the baby away and disowned her as their daughter. She never got to meet her daughter or even see her, and their was no documentation of her baby either. It was completely swept under the rug. When her family disowned her and she was forced to leave Bulgaria, she ended up in England. That's where she met the original's and learned she was going to be used as a sacrifice to break Klaus' stupid curse, but once she found out she ran. She stole the moonstone, tricked a vampire named Rose into feeding her blood, and killed herself.. she was on the run ever since" Elena told him while glaring between him and Katherine.

"So.. You really aren't Katerina then" he replied and started walking towards her slowly.

"That would be correct" she said rolling her eyes watching him approach her "Like I said, my names Elena"

He stopped in front of her, less than a foot away and spoke in a low voice, "Well Elena, my names Kol Mikaelson, and it's a pleasure to meet you"

Elena's eyes nearly popped out of her skull hearing who the man before her was, she started backing up towards the door not taking her eyes off him. 

"You're a Mikaelson?! Of course. Even in death I can't get away from you're family!" She hissed at him then turned and ran through the door, down the stairs and out of the apartment building. As she ran down the road away from the Mikaelson brother he appeared before her in a flash causing her to run into his chest, he grabbed her waist holding her in place against him.

"Aw don't run away love, we're already dead, I can't do anything to you" he said smirking down at her "Aren't you the least bit curious as to why we can see each other? I can explain all that"

Staring into his eyes wearily, she couldn't help but notice how good it felt to be against him, and how his hands on her waist sent shivers up her spine. She tried to take a step back to put some distance between them, but his hands tightened on her waist; keeping her in place.

She took in a shaky breath, trying to compose herself and then spoke up, "Fine.. explain then, but let go of me first"

Smirking at her, he ducked his head down to her ear and whispered, "What if I don't want to let go love? Then what are you going to do?"

Turning her head to meet his eyes she could see the amusement in them; he was teasing her. "I'm not playing your games Kol. Either explain or leave me alone" she responded coldly

Taking his hands off her, he ran his right hand up her side slowly and then took a step back, rolling his eyes at her and spoke "I'm just having fun love, I haven't ran into anyone here who I could actually feel their touch, and from your reaction you could feel mine too. I'm very curious as to why that is." 

Elena's eyes widened at his words.

"Wait so you're telling me, we're not supposed to actually be able to feel someone's touch?" she questioned him

"That is exactly what i'm saying little miss doppelganger" Kol teased her

"That's not my name and you know it" Elena huffed at him "Now why don't you start explaining why we can see each other"

"Impatient aren't we? Come on, I'll show you" he said to her smirking and started walking away
