Atlas POV
No...no...nope this has got to be a cruel hallucination. When I wake up I’ll just be more devastated than before. But...this is too real.
The same regal, cruel-ish face, harsh and beautiful at the same time, just like me. Her height had increased a bit, but she retained her athletic, muscular physique.
“Go. GO. I’m just hallucinating.” I muttered, already half delirious.
“...Dad. It really is me. I was resurrected, it really is me. I had a sword called Anaklusmos. Had my heart broken by Hercules. Died right on this mountain. I am your Daughter ! Zoë Atlas Eternal Nightshade.” She whispered back.
That’s my girl ! Back from the dead. Nobody knew her middle name she was given at birth.
Only a few people know. I doubt even Artemis was given the honour of knowing. Well, she’s home !
“I’m sorry. I am so so sorry! Please ! Forgive me.” She’s home. She really is home !
“Yes dad. You’re forgiven. It’s alright.”
Those sentences...they brought back life into my soul...Perseus, he communicated with Ouranos and Gaia, telling them to release me.
Tendrils of Earth reached upwards, tendrils of the sky came down, the tendrils connected, swirling around each other, supporting each other from collapsing. Leaves sprouted from the earth, and lightning sparked from the sky.
They swirled together, forming interesting structures and designs.
Slowly, the weight on my back became lighter and lighter, until I could crawl out of the rocky prison. I stood up, cracking my back, it was sore and I just wanted to pass out right there and then.
I didn’t , I held fast. I was not going to faint now, my daughter is home.
“ Atlas, your lucky that we came when we did, you were fading. We will bring you to the Olympian council tomorrow to swear loyalty.” Perseus told me. I nodded, Zoë was home!
I stood up, hugging my daughter for the first time in 3000 years. She was shorter than me. I towered over her at around 7 feet. She fit in my arms like a baby.
I stroked her soft dark hair, the first time I’d done it in 3000 over years. She still had her coppery tan skin. Her eyes still shone with fiery determination as they did before I killed her.
They brought me to Perseus’s palace on Olympus, giving me a guest room and telling me that they were going to watch a movie.
We had dinner together, grilled venison, penne pasta and a delicious tomato sauce. The dining room had teak wood floor and the dining table was obsidian, the sides with silver and gold carvings of deer and other majestic animals.
The table was long too, it could easily seat around 20 people. After the delicious dinner, I left to the room they left me.
The guestroom was huge ! The bed was large enough for me. The drawers and bedside tables were all obsidian black. The bed had grey sheets and the floors were wooden. There was a tiger skin rug on the floor.
