Percy POV

I was panicking. This is bad. Very bad. I could stop time, but this beast... It’s not normal.

Blackish skin ? Red pig eyes ? There is not a single monster in Greek mythology that matches this description.

On top of that, he is the height of a Primordial! Around 40 feet tall, that could easily squish my squad to death ! And ? We didn’t even know his abilities yet.

“Raarrrrrrr!” He yelled, or bellowed ? I don’t even know anymore. His hand... Some kind of brownish substance collected there.

Ewww, it looked like actual shit, combined with a week’s worth of trash. And smelled like it too. He threw it at the ground were I was.

Instantly, the road seemed to melt, dissolving with a loud hiss. I stared at the hole in the road, the arranged substance eating away at the Earth, my technical great grandmother...

See, when you have a godly parent ? The bloodline is weird. You could be related to a sheepskin rug, like I am, one day...

Anyways, this dude, he literally dissolved tar. I looked up just in time to avoid a incoming strike from his spear.

The spear was black, with greyish design and the rip dripped with blue acid. I never had to do this before, but, there’s a first for everything right ?

Ladon ! Help ! Please. I need you at 30 feet, thanks !

I instantly, I felt a searing pain wrack my entire body, Ladon used to always be around my neck. But I decided to keep him home today. I felt a seemingly invisible string tied to Ladon pull me, but not me...

My insides.... I yelled in pain, this was not fun, I literally felt like my internal organs were getting yanked in the opposite direction that I was walking. Gradually, I heard huge wing flaps, Ladon was here!

He stood at 30 foot tall and I scaled up his back, sitting atop one head, with a single scythe drawn, we charged together.

Tyfónas, my sea basilisk ? He was behind me, fighting alongside the power-enhanced Polybotes. It was obvious that Polybotes had some upgrades, he was around 30 feet tall now, with new black armour.

The armour was not well made, but it looked good I guess. It was made of leather and iron, thick and looked really heavy too.

The arm holes were too large, a well planned strike would be enough to pierce his heart. I looked towards the monstrosity before me. He had a leather jerkin, untied and opened to reveal a chest covered in scars and a branding, too mutilated to be identified.

His lower body was barely covered with only a loincloth, his legs were hairy and he wore simple sandals, old and very worn leather sandals.

I jumped off Ladon managing to grace his shoulders. Controlling the air currents, I forced myself onto his broad shoulders, before using my scythe, digging it into his flesh, easily penetrating his armour, and then, using that and freefalling from his shoulder to his thigh, before I let go. Ladon caught me and I recalled my scythe back into my hand.

He yelled in pain, and black sludge exited the huge gash.

Black sludge ? I have no idea where that came from. Usually, it’s gold dust, gold-silver dust, occasionally inchor. But never have I encountered black sludge.

Surely, my eyes are tricking me. The sludge dripped slowly, like mud, down his skin, gathering at his feet. Eventually, it touched the road and hissed loudly, before it seemingly evaporated.

He studied me carefully, his once pig like eyes filled with a seemingly ancient knowledge. He stared at me, he checked my stance, grunting in approval. He looked me from head to toe, as if contemplating how he should kill me.
