After bandaging up Dabi, I notice he has been checking his phone a lot. "Got a girlfriend or something?" I ask assuming he is waiting for a message from someone he is with. "What? No, where did you get that idea?" He asks, sounding quite alarmed. I reply, "Well you keep checking your phone so-" Dabi cuts me off. "Tomura, he's the head of the League of Villains so I've been waiting for a message from to see where our new location is" "Ah, gotcha" I reply, slightly sad knowing he has to go. "Well stay here as long as you need, just don't bring the other villains here" We both chuckle a little.
"What happened anyway?" I inquire. "Just a fight with the hero's. We were invaded while at the bar and Kurogiri didn't have enough time to open a portal for us to escape" Dabi answers. "Who's Kurogiri?" I ask another question, getting the idea that I'm being annoying with all the questions. "Another villain. His quirk is fusion, basically summoning portals" As I'm about to continue quizzing Dabi about the league, one question perks me up. "What's your quirk?" "Cremation, I create blue flames that can burn just about anything" Is that how he got his scars? He hurt himself?
"So are you feeling better? I mean- physically?" I ask.
"Yea mostly, I'll probably stay here for one more night.
"Oh yea, speaking of night. What had your dream been about?" "It was uh- about who I used to be" What does that mean? Who he 'used to be'? "Were you even worse back then, in terms of being a villain?" "No, quite the opposite" Is this a sensitive topic? Should I change the subject? Dabi breaks me from my thoughts. "Do you ever have bad dreams?" "Of course. I just know that they aren't real" "But sometimes they can be so vivid and feel... so real" Dabi says through tears. I lean for a hug and comfort him in the warmth of my arms. "I know...
