Songfic.. This time it's the Billie Eilish song, 'everything i wanted'. I heard it was about her and her brother, and so guess who I immediately thought of? Angst. Short. TW: Suicidal thoughts. Bold is where Wanda is saying the lyrics.

'I had a dream. I got everything I wanted. Not what you'd think. And if I'm being honest- It might have been a nightmare to anyone who might care.'

Wanda woke up, the lingering feeling of falling surrounding her. She found herself wishing that she had fallen.

She sighed, getting to her feet. She stumbled to the bathroom, standing in front of the mirror. She was breathing heavily. What a dream. Maybe some would call it a nightmare, but Wanda wouldn't.

'Thought I could fly, so I stepped off the Golden. Nobody cried. Nobody even noticed. I saw them standing right there. Kinda thought they might care.'

Wanda's heart was racing and tears started running down her face. Yes, she gotten what she wanted. But nobody cared. Nobody even tried to stop her. And that was probably what hurt the most.

She was shaking. She knew that she was having a panic attack, but she stayed silent. She wasn't going to bother anybody. That would be rude. After all, it was just a dream.

So she stood there, shaking and crying silently. Her hand rose to her hair and quickly and shakily started braiding it, trying to get herself to calm down with the repetitive movements. It didn't work.

'I had a dream. I got everything I wanted. But when I wake up, I see you with me. And you say, "As long as I'm here, no one can hurt you. Don't wanna lie here, but you can learn to. If I could change the way you see yourself, you wouldn't wonder why you're here. They don't deserve you."'

After nearly fifteen minutes, she felt two strong arms snake around her thin waist. "What happened, Wanda?" Pietro asked.

"Nightmare."

"Hey, they can't hurt you. I won't let them." He kissed the sides of her head. "I love you. I wish you saw yourself the way I see you. You'd never doubt yourself ever again."

Wanda shrugged.

"How about you tell me what happened?"

And Wanda told him. She told him about jumping off the bridge, about the people watching who didn't give a crap.

Pietro listened intently, as always.

"'I tried to scream, but my head was underwater. They called me weak. Like I'm not just somebody's daughter.

"'Coulda been a nightmare. But it felt like they were right there. And it feels like yesterday was a year ago. But I don't wanna let anybody know. Cuz everybody wants something from me now. And I don't wanna let 'em down.'"

Pietro kept listening to her words, letting her figure out what she wanted to say.

"'I had a dream. I got everything I wanted. But when I wake up, I see you with me.'"

'And you say, "As long as I'm here, no one can hurt you. Don't wanna lie here, but you can learn to. If I could change the way that you see yourself, you wouldn't wonder why you're here. They don't deserve you."'

After a minute of silence, Pietro decided that his sister was done talking. He pulled her as close as he could without hurting her. "Hey, hey. I know it hurt. But I promise you that people would care. I definitely would. I would cry. I would cry so hard. And I'll always be here for you. Always."

More tears ran down Wanda's cheeks. "I'm sorry," She said quietly.

"Don't be, you didn't do anything wrong." Pietro could feel tears pricking at his eyes as he he thought about losing her. He could never. He'd die. "Hey, I love you. Every other Avenger loves you. How could they not? You're amazing, and perfect."

Wanda sniffled. "Nobody's perfect."

"Nobody but you," Pietro smiled.

She scoffed.

'If I knew it all then, would I do it again? If they knew what they said would go straight to my head, what would they say instead? If I knew it all then, would I do it again? If they knew what they said would go straight to my head, what would they say instead?'

Wanda blinked back tears as two boys teased her. She hated high school. She wanted Pietro to get out of class already. It was free period, what was taking so long?

One of the guys shoved her against the wall. "Where's your knight in shining armor, Princess?"

Wanda tried to duck under his arm, but his friend blocked her.

"What the h*** do you want?" Wanda said, doing her best to keep her voice steady.

""Just to see your pretty little tears," The first boy raised her chin.

She kicked him on his soft spot as hard as he could, and took off.

"B****!" She heard him groan.

His friend threw her against the lockers.

"WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU DOING TO MY SISTER?!" Pietro suddenly was there, slamming the boy against the wall.

"Nothing! She just tripped!" The guy tried to lie. But it was a lame attempt, given that Pietro had seen what he'd done to Wanda.

"That's a lie. Why do think that you have the right to talk to her, let alone touch her?! If I see you within five feet of her ever again, you'll regret it!" He released him.

Pietro hurried over to his sister. "Are you ok?! Did he hurt you?! You know what? I'll be right back, I'm gonna kill him."

"No, no," Wanda said. "I'm fine, I promise." She was lying; her head hurt a lot.

Pietro easily saw through her lie. "Let's go to the nurse."

"I really am fine, Pietro. Don't worry about me."

"I always worry about you." Pietro led her to the nurse. "What did they say to you?"

"Nothing important."

"What did they say?"

Wanda sighed. "That I was a worthless loser. Nothing that was new or wasn't true."

"Hey, hey, hey. It wasn't true. Not at all. You aren't a worthless loser, you're a perfect angel, ok? Don't believe them."

Wanda sighed. "Alright."

Pietro smiled at her. "Good."
