Who was she?

She was staring at me and smiled.
She wore a pitch green shirt along with a furry jacket and brown long skirt.

"Is she our beloved Ariana?"
"Yes, she is" mom replied quietly. I wasn't able to figure out who she was, I was gesturing my mom but she didn't say anything.

"Hello Ariana.. you might be wondering who I am.. ok let me introduce myself. I am Ciara. Your moms friend back from school!!"
I sighed and,
"Oh hello, Ms. Ciara. It's nice to meet you." I somehow managed to say without getting messed up.
"How lovely girl you are. Rianza you are so lucky to be blessed with a daughter like her. You should be proud that you could ......." she couldn't finish her words that moms interrupted.

"We can discuss about that later, why don't you come down and have some tea.." mom said with a dimmed smiling expression.
"Okay we will do that. So as I have seen our little beloved Ariana for the first time I want to give her a present."
She open her bag and bring out a box. And ,
"This is for you. I hope I didn't disturb in your sleep." She smiled and climbed down the stairs. Mom was looking at me and said,
"You should take rest, mom will take care of the guest." And she left.

I came back to my room and trying to figure out what was in the box. It was in a plain square wood box. I open the box and saw a necklace. It was pretty. White some sort of flowery necklace. But it's so known. I don't know but it's like I have seen it somewhere else. Strange.

I couldn't sleep as there were guest in house and I really want to ask my mom about her.
I turn off my room's light and quietly  open the door. Trying best to not make any noise. I can see her from the stairways. She was standing in front of the main door. She was saying something and my mom seems to be intermediate by her. She treat her with respect and bid her farewell. As she close the door and turn back she saw me there.

"Who was it? She said that she's your friend. But She's barely your age" I asked her while sitting in the dining table. Mom was doing dishes.
"Is not necessary that you have to be friends with everyone your age!!!" I was hesitating by her answer.

"No it's just I never saw her before. And she gave me a flowerhead types necklace."
Her movement stops as I said that to her.
"A necklace? Keep it than!" She replied with a non interested tone and leave.
Seems like she was upset by any reason. So I didn't wanted to bother her by my question.
"I am going to bed.... goodnight." She said and close her room's door. I really wanted to sleep beside her tonight. But before I could do so she closed the door. I sighed and turn off the lights and came to my room. 1:46am the clock says.
I lost the track of time. As I close my eyes I felt asleep.

Knock knock.... my eyes open fast.
"Aru you are getting late!!!" I thought I just slept than realised it's already 7:45am. I rushed to shower and change my clothes. Took my books and run towards the door. I am getting super late!!
"Calm down and eat something before you go!!" Mom said but I hurried and took the slice of bread and jam hug her and leave.

I had to catch the bus. I ran but I couldn't take the bus. Think I have to walk today. In halfway,

"Hey Ariana!!"
I look back, it's Kyra. She was on her dads car.
"You also missed the bus??" I asked.
"Bus!! No I don't ride bus, I take my papa's car usually. Want a lift?" She asked.
Before I could say something she said,
"No? Okay cool... see you in the class!!" And left.
She's hard to read. I walk the road. And as expected I arrived super late.
I already missed my first class.
Avon and Kyra was talking while I entered.

"I missed you so much!! You should have joined the camp, and your mom is super cool!!! She arranged such a nice oops EXPENSIVE trip for our club!!"
She was talking so loud that everyone could hear her.
But Avon didn't say a word. I sat on my seat just right next row of Avon and Kyra. Avon was staring at me a notice as he want to talk with me. But I didn't look at him.

"Ariana... i want to talk to you in personal." Avon said to me. Kyra was looking confused.
As the entire class was looking at us, I had to agree.

"Look I know I was wrong.. but I didn't mean it trust.... "
"It's okay.. I understand. And am not angry at you... instead I feel sorry that I yelled at you yesterday... am sorry." He was shocked as I replied.
"I think we better get back to class. Otherwise those people cannot stop looking at us like now." Avon notice that other students were looking at us. And we get back to the class.

Ms. Maurer came to the class and gave us the announcement of our final exam dates. And also told us to do better as the trip relays on our marks.

"It will be super cool if we both can go to the picnic!!" Kyra said to Avon. Avon nods.

"Hey, are they going out together?"
"Who? Avon and Ariana?"
"No!!! Avon and Kyra!!"
"I don't know.... but they were kinda like couples!! You see Kyra always holds Avon like her own. But Avon looks good with Ariana!!!!"
"What are you talking about!!?? Avon's mom and Kyra's dad are business partners. So it's obvious that they are good match!!"
"Hmm make sense... maybe they will get married right after college!!! You know as a business deal that we usually saw on kdramas!!!"
"Yaaaa maybe!!! Who knows!!"

Few students were whispering about us. It's kinda feels weird when people talks about you....  and you have to act like you heard nothing.
Whatever I don't care. At least have to act that way!!
