I walk onto the plain in grey sweatpants, black tank top, sneakers and my hair puled into a messy bun, without a care in the world. Rena has on her sweater as she follows me. I had just left the debriefing room and was in search for a bathroom. I walk into a red door that was left open and Rena follows me down the stairs.

There were two people talking, but their voices come to a stop. I then see that the two voices were Skye and Ward. "I was just... looking for the bathroom." I say, breaking the silence. I slowly walk down the stairs. Ward looks at me and sighs deeply. "Y/N," He says. "Don't," "Y/N, you shouldn't be in here," "Then maybe you shouldn't have left the door open,"

"And what the hell is this? Why do you have him locked up here like an animal?" "Like an- he is an animal!" "No, he is a human being! He may have some messed up shit and betrayed us, but he's still a person!" "What? You still have feelings for him? Is that it?" "I never had feelings for him. I'm not you,'Skye. He was someone that I considered as my brother." I stated.

"You know him for three months, I knew him for-" "Nineteen months." Ward finishes. "That kind of bond doesn't just go away. I don't care what you do. I'm my own person, and you can't tell me shit." "Hey! What's going on here?" Coulson asks. "You didn't tell me Ward was here. You know how much I've been through since his betrayal."

"I know, I know. I'm sorry." "I want to be alone with him." "I still have intel to extract." "You're done for the day. I can tell you're annoying him. Hell even I'm annoyed with you." Skye takes a step towards me and Rena snarls. "Skye, just give them some time alone." Coulson says. She walks up the stairs and soon enough, we are alone.

"Y/N, I'm so sorry. You were the one that I could never hurt. I owed Garrett everything, but you.. you kept me sane. You were my friend when I had no one. You... were- are- my sister.

"Then why did you betray me?" I whimper. He releases a shaky breath before saying, "I never meant to do that." "Believe me, my heart shattered when I shot you. That's why I aimed for hit shoulder instead of you heart, because I couldn't end you life like that."

"Why? You might as well have ended. I would rather be dead that have dealt with the pain of you betraying me for months." "Please, Y/N, let me make this right." "How? How are you going to make things right in a jail cell?" "I need you to run and get some water?" Which was code for breaking him out. We established a code conversation for times of capture, and we're finally using it.

"What if the well is dry?" "Then go to the pond," We look at each other for a moment and tears run down my cheeks. I don't want to betray May. Not after everything she helped me through. But I love Ward. I ran out of the room and Rena runs after me. "Y/N," Coulson says. "I need to go to the bathroom,"

I approach Fitz and ask him where the bathroom is. "First door on the um.. on the.." "Left?" "No," "Right?" "Yes, first door on the right." "Thank you, Fitz." I find myself pulling him in for a hug and he stands there awkwardly, not knowing what was happening.

"I'm sorry for what happened. You didn't deserve that." "It's okay," He says, finally wrapping his arms around me. "If you hear sirens and see flashing lights, I want you to stay in the lab where it's safe. No matter what they say to you, you stay in the lab. Okay?" I whisper. He pulls away from me concerned and I nod softly before going to the bathroom.

I lock the door behind me and press my palms into cold, white sink. I look into the mirror slowly and glow my eyes. I slowly freeze the mirror and write I'm sorry into it. I take a few minutes to prepare before I open the door and go back downstairs to talk to Ward.

"Back so soon? You know what, it doesn't matter, I-" I punch Skye in the face, knocking her out. I freeze the camera in the room and press on the controls of the electric field. When I realize that I need Coulson's retinal scan, I decided to improvise. I freeze the electrical wall and punch it, shattering it to pieces.

Ward walks out and tries to pull me into his arms. I put a hand up to stop him and say, "Not now, maybe later. We have to get out of here." "Y/N!" I look to the door to see May pointing a gun at me. Her eyebrows invert with anger. "I'm sorry, but he's coming with me." "Like hell he is." "Ill make sure he doesn't hurt anyone else, I pro-"

"Don't make promises you can't keep," She interrupts. "Let me leave the plan with him and no one gets hurt." "You and I both know I can't let that happen." I look behind May to see Hunter, Bobbi and Coulson with loaded night night guns. "I warned you guys," they shoot but I lift my hands, creating a barrier if ice around me and Ward.

The barrier stops the bullets from reaching us and they ricochet back to them. May and Hunger are knocked out, which leaves me with Bobbi and Coulson. "What does he have over you? Don't believe him, Y/N. He will say or do whatever it takes to get out of here. Only you have the power to stop him."

"I'm sorry, Coulson. But I love him." I run up the stairs and block his bullets. I kick his chest, sending him flying into Bobbi. I look to Fitz to see that he is in the lab like I told him to. I nod to him before opening the dock and throwing Ward a parachute. I take a parachute myself and hook Rena to my chest before jumping.
