do you still remember the time that i rejected you when you confessed to me? i was just scared.

scared of the judgements and all, i always get insecure. even if i had no right to reject a perfect person like you, i still did, and that was a crappy thing.

you made me fall for you, real hard. you courted me without my permission. i rejected you multiple times. but you were still there, standing at the tall gate late at afternoon holding a bouquet of fresh flowers, waiting for me.

many guys and girls hated me for having you. i told them many times that there was no us, and explained that i would never ever give you a chance. but they seemed to be deaf about it.

one night, i asked you. i asked you about why did you even had feelings for me? i utterly look ugly compared to those barbie-looking girls. i don't like cosmetics and those stuff. i was expecting a lame answer, but i was stunned with what you said.

you really know how to make my heart beat out of my chest, lisa.

"why me?" jennie asked out of nowhere.

the both of them were sitting under the moonlight, hearing the ocean waves.

"what do you mean, why me?" lisa asked and pinched the older's cheeks. "of all people, why is it that you chose me? i'm no beauty compared to them, not even a half." jennie said and lowered her gaze.

lisa sighed, she knew what she was implying. she hated to know that her lover was insecure of the society. she doesn't want her girl to feel anything but happiness and being loved.

the younger stroked the brown, curly waves. "i have lots of reasons, nini," she started. lisa's arms made its way to jennie's waist, encircling it.

"but of all the reasons, this is the best,"

"why you? because i love you. i love you, yourself and nothing more."

she smiled at jennie, she was close to sobbing. "i... i don't get it." jennie hiccuped.

lisa held jennie close, her head on her chest, and lisa's chin rests on jennie's head. "beauty isn't found on the outside, it's inside. i've never met anyone who is just as kind as you, and you have a golden heart,"

"after finding out those of you, i started to see you as a gorgeous nerd with a curly hair. it was true, that if someone is pretty inside, they are pretty on the outside." lisa finished her sentence, giving jennie a quick peck.

"you're so cheesy." the shorter girl commented using her baby voice.

"and you're so cute." they both laughed and enjoyed each other's presence.
