(2) Trade - Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan

It's now been a year since the upsetting events that happened between Kyle and DeMar. They haven't talked ever since that day especially since now DeMar was on the San Antonio Spurs.

Since that day, DeMar still hadn't had a clue on what happened to Kyle after he left the room. DeMar has been making new friends with his fellow teammates and refuses to talk to Kyle. While DeMar has gotten better since the day, Kyle has only gotten worse.

Every night he cries himself to bed, thinking about DeMar. All because he didn't tell him the sad news, DeMar left him. Kyle had also recently been diagnosed with anxiety which makes matter much worse. With no one knowing about this except for Pascal, Kyle's been hiding his emotions from everyone.

He missed DeMar so much and would take everything back just to be in his arms one last time. Just to hear him say "I love you" one last time. Just to be in his presence one last time.

Now today, for the first time this season, the raptors were going against the spurs. This meant Kyle vs DeMar. Kyle had never been more nervous especially since he'd be playing against his sadly ex boyfriend.

"Kyle, it's alright bro, you'll do fine, don't let him get to your head" Pascal comforted his friend.

"I just don't want him to hate me anymore Pascal" Kyle said.

"He never and will never hate you man, he loves you too much as a person to hate you" Pascal told Kyle.

"Hopefully you're right, let's just hope things don't go bad today" Kyle did his handshake with Pascal.

At the same time, DeMar was in the same hotel from the year before except this time, not as a raptor. All he could think about was Kyle and how long it's been since he's talked to him.

After a bit of memories of him and Kyle flew into his head, he remembered his last day with Kyle. Of course he was still upset that his boyfriend didn't tell him the news but, did he maybe over react? React so much to the point where he left him without saying goodbye?

Either way, there was no chance DeMar could see Kyle today and act like things were okay. However, it's not gonna stop him from watching how much better Kyle has gotten at basketball.

The day went by quick and it was finally time for the game. The raptors were getting ready in their 2 minutes they had in the changing room.

"Remember guys, Danny and I know, the spurs are hard to defeat especially since they got Deebo there, let's focus and get this win!" Kawhi yelled as they all did their team cheer then broke off,

"Hey man, stay calm out there, I believe in you" Pascal pulled Kyle over to the side.

"Thanks bro, I'll try" They did their handshake.

Kyle was the last one in the room as he wanted to think for a quick second.

"Come on Kyle, don't let him get to you, you're better than that. Everyone's counting on you" Kyle said to himself.

He then ran out the room and ran out onto the court to his fellow teammates. All the fans cheered as Kyle's name was called. He looked around at all his fans with a great smile until his eyes landed on DeMar's eyes. Kyle instantly turned away, not wanting to have stuff start already.

Using his breathing techniques, he breathed deeply in and out for 5 seconds which helped him a bit. He became calm again and put his attention on his team once more.

10 minutes later and the game had finally started. Both Kyle and DeMar were starters so they had no choice but to go against each other.
