Yoohyeon's POV
When we got inside Handong and Dami were in the kitchen. They were the only ones awake. I made some coffee for me and sat at a chair around the table while drinking my coffee in silence. The girls were talking about something but all I could think of was how warm was Minji's hug. I couldn't understand why I was thinking about it that much. But it felt good. It felt like home. It felt...
"Yoo? Are you still alive?" Handong brought me back to reality.
I nodded my head.
"I was saying if you want to stay here today as well. I'll stay. And the rest of the girls will stay too." Dami said.
I thought about it. Minji was looking at me waiting for my answer. I shook my head and her smile disappeared. What was she expecting me to say? That I was going to stay? I had already come to this sleepover, something I usually didn't do. So this was too much. Staying for two days I mean. For a person like me, who wasn't used to socializing and doesn't like it that much, this was too much. I stood up and went to get ready. After some minutes I was dressed back to my clothes.
"So you'll leave?" Minji asked me looking at me straight in my eyes. I looked back at my phone trying to avoid her gaze.
"Yeah." I said simply.
"Why don't you stay?" She asked almost pleading me.
"I can't. I had a great time, thanks Handong unnie." I said to Minji and then to Handong who just came to the living room.
"No need to thank me pabo! We are friends!" She told me. I smiled. A small one.
"So, see you on Monday Yoo?" Dami asked me. I nodded. I said my goodbyes to the girls and then left the house. I had to go to my mother anyway. I couldn't just fool around everyday.
___
It was Monday morning. I was heading to my first class when I suddenly heard someone calling my name happily.
"Yoohyeon!" It wasn't Dami's voice, or in general none of my friends. I turned around a little and then I saw Minji running to me with a big bright smile in her face.
"Good morning! How are you today?" She was so happy. I couldn't tell why. And I didn't understand why she was talking to me all of a sudden. We weren't friends. We had Handong as a mutual friend but that was it. We were talking whenever we had to. So what changed now? Was it because I had gone to that sleepover or the fact that I was crying in Minji's arms? Damn it! Now that I remembered it I felt my body going weak again. I couldn't understand what it was. But Minji had an effect on me. And I wasn't that happy about it.
"I'm fine." I told her softly trying to avoid her gaze. Always. So antisocial, I know.
"Have you seen Bora or Siyeon? Or are they busy like Handong and Dami?" she asked me. So that was the reason she came to talk to me. I shook my head.
"Anyway. Have you found someone to pair with in the vocal club?"
"The teacher said she will make the pairs, so no." I said.
"Oh yeah right! I got confused! I wanted to ask you about the acting club! Handong had chosen Dami, Bora had chosen Siyeon. So, I was wondering... if we could be together." She said as she was looking at her feet and then she looked at me with a really cute and small, shy smile. She was adorable. I couldn't believe my ears actually. She was asking, of all the students, me? I decided to not make it hard for her so I quickly nodded my head. She smiled happily and clapped her hands together.
"Great! Ok, so let's meet at the break and sort things out. Are you ok with that?" She was so excited. I couldn't understand why. She was always so happy and excited about everything. She was indeed a sunshine. I nodded my head again, this time smiling at her. She smiled back, a really big one, from ear to ear, and she then ran of to her class. She was acting like a little child. I couldn't blame her. I would be the same if I could. But I wasn't a child anymore. I had grown up really fast and I couldn't even remember when was the last time I played with the other kids without caring about anything.
