school ended. taehyung only picked out his coat from his locker before closing it. he moved on to go to jungkook's house. he knew his house wasn't far because they were neighbors after all.

taehyung arrived at jungkook's. he knocked on the door but the door opened a bit. so he walked in. "jungkook? mrs. jeon? mr. jeon?" taehyung called out as he walled throughout the living room. there was no answer or furniture. he tried the kitchen next. no furniture again but a letter with a gift on the counter table. "what's this?" taehyung asked himself. he picked up the letter and read it.

taehyung,
you probably have recognized not in class anymore. i haven't been to practice. my window is not opened anymore for us to pass notes. that's because i have moved. to seoul here in korea. taehyung, i know this didn't seem so far because of the lies i told you about moving. i did it out of love. and fear. but trust me. i know that one day we will be reunited again, i promise. if we are not. i'll look for you till the ends of the earth. you're my one and only. there's a little red box i want you to open after you read this. you can remember me by what's in that box. i love you and i promise i'll come back to you someday.

sincerely, jungkook

taehyung opened the box. he saw a necklace. it was a locket. taehyung opened it to see a picture of him and jungkook. taehyung was almost on the verge of tears. not only because he knew he was alone again, but the one he loved has left him. jungkook left and taehyung was left alone. taehyung held the necklace tightly to stop him from crying. he felt as if the world didn't want him to love.

but he knew he had to be strong. he knew jungkook would kept his promises. so he'd wait. wait for jungkook to come back to him.
